Bundesliga: SC Freiburg vs Borussia Dortmund
SC Freiburg squared off against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday in Matchday 2 of the Bundesliga 2021/22.
SC Freiburg’s Vincenzo Grifo scored a goal in the sixth minute for his side to give them a 1-0 lead in the game. Roland Sallai doubled the club’s lead as they scored a goal in the 53rd minute. However, defender Yannik Keitel scored an own goal in the 59th minute to help Borussia Dortmund get a goal. No other action took place during the rest of the game as the home side comfortably won the game 2-1.

Nico Scholotterbeck (7.5/10): Nico was another start defender for SC Freiburg as he tackled the ball from the opponent on several occasions and also kept the team’s momentum high.
Christian Gunter (7/10): SC Freiburg skipper played a key role in the defence today. He helped the team to work as a unit and lead from the front.
Yannik Keitel (5/10): Yannik was a black spot for his team as he almost gave away to match to BVB. The defensive midfielder put one into his own net to help the touring side come back into the game.
Nicolas Hofler (7.5/10): Hofler was a strong and key player for the home side as he provided his attackers and defenders with excellent support throughout the match.
Roland Sallai (8/10): Sallai was exceptional at the wing today. He scored a goal and provided his side with key crosses and passes before being substituted off in the 71st minute.
Woo-Yeong Jeong (6.5/10): The attacking midfielder failed to bring much success for his side. However, he helped his team with a few accurate passes.
Vincenzo Grifo (8.5/10): Grifo was another key player for the side. He not also sent crosses in the penalty area but also scored the club’s opening goal during the 6th minute of the match.
Lucas Holer (7.5/10): Striker Lucas Holer assisted once during today’s game and also have a great number of accurate passes against his name.

Ermedin Demirovic (6/10): The Bosnian attacker played the last 20 minutes for his side. He has only two accurate passes to his name in the last 20 mins.
Janik Haberer (6.5/10): The midfielder failed to create key chances for his side during the final 20 minutes of the match.

Manuel Akanji (7/10): Akanji was the only defender from BVB to have played the whole match. Though he was in the referee’s book, Akanji was the club’s best defender today.
Alex Witsel (7.5/10): Witsel put in his best efforts for his side but couldn’t stop his opponent from netting two goals. The player will look to come back stronger in the upcoming game.
Felix Passlack (6/10): Passlack was substituted off in the 79th minute. His few mistakes costed his side as they ended up conceding goals, which eventually lead them towards a loss.
Mahmoud Dahoud (6.5/10): Dahoud was booked by the referee. He tried to support the attackers and defenders but ended up making a mess out of it.
Giovanni Reyna (7.5/10): Reyna was excellent in the midfield. He had a pass success rate of 88% in today’s game with 42 accurate passes.
