As the golf world prepares for the 90th Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club this week, golf instructor Butch Harmon made some comments regarding Donald Trump. While speaking with the media, the veteran coach expressed that the current U.S. President will never be invited to the prestigious course in Georgia.

Trump is an avid fan of golf. He has won several senior championships and owns many golf courses around the world.

The Augusta National has had former Presidents as members. Dwight Eisenhower, who served as the 34th President of the United States, has a huge legacy at the club, with a cabin and tree on the course named after him.

Trump, however, is not a member of this famous club. Despite his status in politics and golf, the 45th and 47th U.S. President remains on the outside. According to Harmon, Trump will never be welcomed at this club due to his personality.

He’s full of himself. He’s the type of person that I don’t think fits the profile of an Augusta member. … I don’t think his personality fits the membership at Augusta.

Butch Harmon said regarding Donald Trump as per The Telegraph

The 82-year-old has known Trump for his whole life. Harmon’s father, Claude Harmon, was the head professional of the famous Winged Foot, where Trump was a long-time member.

Speaking of the Augusta National, the membership is very exclusive. A person can only become a member of this course through an official invitation.

Trump was seen entering the course, wearing golf shoes and a white cap with “USA” written in gold. A photograph from Reuters would go viral on social media regarding his appearance.

He would even pose with some supporters and click pictures. As per reports, he arrived around 10 a.m. on the course.

This development came a day after there had been some online rumors regarding his health. It was claimed that he was admitted to the Walter Reed Medical Centre. The White House would come forward and deny this claims.

Trump has been at the center stage after the political tensions began in Iran. The American President once again threatened the Asian country over the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz.

As for golf, he found himself under backlash once again after the recent car crash and DUI arrest of Tiger Woods. Following his crash near his residence in Jupiter, Florida, a video showed the 15-time major champion claiming to be speaking with Trump on a phone call.

Last week, Trump addressed the media and admitted that he had spoken with Woods. In this, he mentioned that the golfer was living a life of pain.

Before this incident, Trump dropped a major bombshell regarding Woods. While speaking with Fox News, he casually claimed that the former World No.1 golfer would not be playing at the Masters Tournament this year.

At that time, Woods was preparing to make his 27th start in this major championship. However, he will not be playing in the first major of the year, as he stepped away from golf following that car crash and DUI arrest.
