The WNBA’s young star Caitlin Clark has been known for her three-point shooting ever since she made her debut in the league last season. Her 3-P shooting has been a major factor in her game, just like legendary NBA star Stephen Curry. Not only that, in the past, Clark’s 3-point shooting has also been compared with greats like LeBron James, Curry, and Michael Jordan.
Notably, Clark has helped the women’s basketball community grow its fan base and give other players the credit they merit. In a recent interview with Fansided, the Indiana Fever star was asked if she and Stephen Curry were to engage in a three-point shootout, who would win. The question was then followed up with LeBron James’ name. Clark was humble in her response.
Probably Steph. I would just be happy to be there, though.
Caitlin Clark said
She is most likely correct when she says she won’t be able to defeat Curry, the best shooter of all time. He has that reputation for a reason.
The host then made the audacious claim that she could likely defeat LeBron James in a shootout like that. She blushed in her response but did not clarify anything. “I don’t know about that,” Clark said.

In her brief WNBA career, the sophomore of the Fever has made an average of nine shots per game from beyond the arc, shooting 34.7%. Throughout his career, James has taken 4.7 shots per game and averaged 34.9% from beyond the arc. LeBron James has only shot nearly as much as Clark once in his career (2021–22 season, 8.0 attempts per game on average).
So it does seem that Clark may have an edge on James if a contest were to happen. Interestingly, Clark and James share a close bond. Both have immense mutual respect and admiration for each other and have made it known on several occasions in the past.
Caitlin Clark and teammate Aliyah Boston share wholesome moment on social media
Clark made her whole anticipated return to the WNBA court after missing five games due to a quad injury on Saturday against the New York Liberty. She returned with a huge bang, scoring a season-high 32 points to help the Fever defeat them 102-88. In doing so, she also made her teammate, Aliyah Boston, know how much she missed playing with her via her Instagram.
Clark posted a picture of the two of them together, and the former Iowa standout admitted in the caption that she “missed my dawg” while she was on the sidelines. When Boston learned of Clark’s sentimental message, they reacted appropriately.

Moreover, Boston played effectively in the victory over the Liberty. The two-time All-Star helped lead Indiana to a decisive victory over the previously unbeaten Liberty, finishing with a double-double of 10 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks.
LeBron James had an epic reaction to Caitlin Clark’s Fever return
As mentioned above, Caitlin Clark did not hold back against the Liberty. Despite recently coming back from an injury, she did not bother much holding back and went all out. So much so that the WNBA community was left stunned by her mentality. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who has a close bond with Clark, also took to his socials to commend the Fever star’s epic performance.

Ever since she played for the Iowa Hawkeyes in college, James has been a vocal supporter and fan of Clark. Aside from this, on Tuesday, Clark and her Fever team will play the Connecticut Sun in an attempt to start a winning run.
