“You can’t have it both ways!” Caitlin Clark advised to change stance on racism after Billionaire owner’s controversial comments
Megyn Kelly slams Caitlin Clark for trying to appease both sides after WNBA team owner makes it clear players are jealous.
Megyn Kelly feels Caitlin Clark should not have tried to appease both sides in the Woke WNBA culture
WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark is in between another controversy after her comments about Black athletes in the Time Magazine article drew the ire of many. That controversy received further fuel when Washington Mystics owner Sheila Johnson disregarded Clark’s impact.
Johnson suggested that instead of the Indiana Fever star, the entire WNBA should have been on Time Magazine’s front cover. She felt singling Caitlin Clark out would add to the jealousy already prevalent in the league.
That caught the eye of Megyn Kelly, who famously slammed Clark for seemingly apologizing for being White. The journalist felt the Iowa native was bending a knee trying to make everyone happy. After listening to Johnson’s comments, Kelly said this on The Megyn Kelly Show:
Megyn Kelly‘s guests on the panel referred to the likes of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James as players who were Black and shined bright without any White privilege. The journalist summed it up by asserting that it is Clark who has tried to make peace in the league by talking about White Privilege.
But she feels the WNBA, its players and owners do not need her ‘discarded bones’. Rather they want to continue with their own identity and do not want Clark to try and satisfy both sides. It could be the reason Sheryl Swoopes had a nonchalant response when asked about Clark’s comments of celebrating the achievements of former players.
Caitlin Clark works out with new Fever head coach Stephanie White
Caitlin Clark has revealed in the past that the best way to avoid outside noise is to block it out. With the discourse surrounding her comments continuing, the WNBA Rookie of the Year has found the perfect way to block that noise.
The Indiana Fever posted a video of her working out on their social media accounts. The video showed Clark going through her motions as she worked on certain shooting drills. Newly appointed Fever head coach Stephanie White was also present in the video.
This was the first official work out the two have been a part of ever since White was hired. Several of her teammates are playing abroad or in other leagues. That meant she was receiving the full attention of her head coach in these work outs, helping her get an early start to life under White.
