Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese did not have the seasons they would have liked. The former struggled with injuries, whereas the latter’s team suffered losses that saw them finish 2nd from bottom.
During the offseason, both the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky front offices decided to rebuild their respective rosters. The latter chose to part ways with guard Dana Evans, who was traded away to the Las Vegas Aces.
When their season ended, she, along with forward Isabelle Harrison, emotionally expressed their frustrations after being harassed by a section of Sky fans who blamed them and a few others for the team’s struggles.
Once they joined new teams, both had much better seasons, helping their respective teams reach the playoffs. Evans, particularly, took on a greater role as part of the pair of guards Aces head coach Becky Hammon sent in when her starters needed rest.
She and Jewell Loyd were instrumental in keeping the Aces’ lead intact. That helped them win 16 regular-season games, pushing their way to 2nd position in the league.
In the playoffs, the guard saw her utilization go up, and helped her team overcome scares against the Seattle Storm and the Indiana Fever on their way to the Finals. In the championship games, she played her part, winning the 2025 WNBA title along with her teammates.
It’s nothing like getting the last laugh LMAOOOOO.

This was Dana Evans’ way of clapping back at Angel Reese‘s fans, who just a year ago were harassing her for the Sky’s troubles. Now, as a champion, she believes there is proof that she was not the problem.
NaLyssa Smith joins in to troll Caitlin Clark’s fans
Just like Dana Evans, NaLyssa Smith also ended up becoming a WNBA champion. Last season, she was part of the Indiana Fever. However, she had voiced her frustrations with her utilization, hoping the next regime would help her flourish.
However, it seems the Fever’s rejigged front office decided they were better off without a disgruntled player. They promptly traded the Baylor alum to the Dallas Wings.
She was excited to join her girlfriend, DiJonai Carrington, and play together again, but that experiment was short-lived. Once the Wings understood their season was going nowhere, they packaged her to the Las Vegas Aces.
Her arrival was instrumental in helping the franchise understand its need to play differently, and then went on a winning streak that vaulted them into the playoffs.
Alongside A’ja Wilson and the rest of the team, they overcame the first two rounds of the playoffs and then went on to sweep the Phoenix Mercury in the Finals.
What they gone say nowwww.

This was the forward’s way of letting Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever fans and analysts know that their finger-pointing at NaLyssa Smith was misplaced, and that they should have given her a chance to prove her worth.
Dana Evans and NaLyssa Smith, along with Aces teammates, start championship celebrations
NaLyssa Smith and Dana Evans, along with their teammates, were drenched in alcohol after winning the 2025 WNBA Finals. Once they sobered up, it was time to start their tour of appearances as champions.

Their first stop was at the Las Vegas Raiders’ home game against the Tennessee Titans. Since Mark Davis owns both the Raiders and Aces, it was logical that his other sports team would give his championship-winning women their flowers.
Superstar A’ja Wilson carried their trophy into Allegiant Stadium and was greeted by the packed fans, head coach Pete Carroll, and many of the Raiders’ players.
This is just the start for them, as they should now be on their way to appear on television programs, with Smith and Evans proudly showcasing their prize after the turmoil they suffered last season.
