Caitlin Clark gave another classy response to Angel Reese's flagrant foul

Caitlin Clark is taking the high road yet again after getting fouled by another Chicago Sky star. The last game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago stayed in the news for a while due to its controversy. Sky’s guard, Chennedy Carter intentionally pushed Clark and was criticized for her ‘dirty play’. Now, Clark’s long-time opponent, Angel Reese has fouled the star in the teams’ rematch.

When Carter shoved Caitlin Clark, Reese supported the play from the sidelines and cheered her teammate. However, the forward was not on the bench this time. Angel Reese was given a flagrant foul after she hit Clark in the head. However, Clark is still keeping her cool as she gave a professional response after being asked about her thoughts during the press conference.

I need to make two free throws, that's all I'm thinking about. It's just part of basketball. It is what it is.

Further Clark talked about making the play and going past the block to score for her team. As during flagrant foul free throws, the opposing players are out of bounds, Clark spoke about the new experience. The 22-year-old stated the free throws are difficult, hence, she was focusing on making them.

Clark swiftly avoided the controversy just like she did during Carter’s foul. The Fever’s guard has not experienced the best treatment from her opponents ever since she joined the WNBA. But Clark has always held her head up high in tough situations, and it seems like the star is planning to keep doing so.

Caitlin Clark kept the same mindset and got the same result

After Clark was fouled by Carter during their last matchup, at the time also, the guard gave a classy response. The guard accepted that it is a competitive sport and the situations cannot be ‘nice’ all the time. While talking about the controversial treatment she receives, Clark has always stressed focusing on her performance.

The guard just wants to perform better and get more wins for her team. It is safe to say that Clark is doing just that. Sky’s physical defensive plays have not worked both times, as Fever got another win over Chicago. Clark led the team with her game-high 23 points as she almost scored a triple-double with eight rebounds and nine assists.

Reese on the other hand scored a double-double but was only able to add 11 points to the Sky’s score. After struggling in the first few games, Clark is certainly getting into the rhythm now as Fever has won four of the last six games. Clark’s strategy of focusing on the game rather than the controversies seems to be working out so far.
