Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark going toe-to-toe in Rookie of the Year rankings

The Rookie of the Year award is one of the most prestigious honors a basketball player can achieve in the sport. In the 2024 WNBA season, many players are in the running for the Rookie of the Year award. However, two standout stars competing closely for this honor are the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark and the Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese.

Clark has put on incredible performances in her very debut season. Against the Sparks in late May, Clark scored 30 points with six assists, five boards, three steals, and three blocks. More recently, in a victory over the Mystics, she had 30 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

Despite this, her rival Angel Reese has been leading the ROTY power rankings with her outstanding offensive performances. Reese has averaged 10.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists, making 35.3% of her field goals through seven games.

With the season heating game after every game, Clark and Reese will be getting more competitive. The two stars will be hoping to claim the 2024 ROTY Award individually. It remains to be seen who comes out on top at the end of this season.
