The rookie phenom remembers all too well how Carrington put the brakes on her in the previous three games. That resulted in two things. One is the continuous losses, and the other is her turnovers. She has averaged a concerning high eight turnovers per game against the Connecticut Sun, all with Carrington opposite her.

Tonight was a similar affair on that stat sheet, but the Indiana Fever utilized their rookie differently. They have evolved from individual random basketball to play more as a team. With better movement and spacing on the floor, the Fever won against the Connecticut Sun for the first time in 12 tries. That itself is a monumental achievement, considering the Sun are runaway favorites to win the WNBA title.

It shows the improvement the Fever has made this season, with Caitlin Clark leading the floor. The rookie might be setting her own records. However, if she can lead the team to a better playoff seeding with these crucial wins, she will be happier.
