On Friday, the Indiana Fever faced last year’s finalists, New York Liberty. During the first quarter, Caitlin Clark was running at the defensive end, and the star ran into Brenna Stewart‘s brutal screen. Clark immediately went to the floor with a hard fall. The moment quickly went viral on social media.
Clark gave her everything as she scored a team-high 22 points with six rebounds and eight assists in 34 minutes. This was her best performance so far for Fever, as she shot 52.9% from the field. The performance was certainly better than her previous outing against Liberty, but it was still not enough to get a win.
The Fever has lost two consecutive games against Liberty and their third of the season. Clark’s performance did not stand a chance in front of Liberty’s team effort. All the starters scored in double digits as Stewart led the pack with 24 points.
