Now that the 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend is over, it is time for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever to return to their regular-season grind. They have to rest, recover, and practice ahead of a return to New York to face the Liberty.

The star point guard missed her 11th game of the season in their last battle before the All-Star break. In that game, the Fever appeared lost and struggled to counter the scoring pressure from the defending champions.

When they fly back out to the East Coast tomorrow, they will have to do it again without their primary offensive engine. The 23-year-old skipped competing in her home All-Star as she cannot take any further risks with her groin.

Her eyes welling up in the last few seconds of their game against the Connecticut Sun suggested that the groin had not healed completely since the first time she sustained it. Now, the Fever is going to send her to get evaluated by experts.

I think she’s progressing… She’s gonna see some doctors and get some more tests run early in the week. I don’t expect her to be available on Tuesday. We’re just going to continue to take it one day at a time, and let her get her evaluations.

Head coach Stephanie White said to reporters

Stephanie White‘s words indicate that the Indiana Fever wants to take it slower this time around. These lingering issues will not help their quest to compete for a title. They need her back healthy and available for the entire stretch until their last game.

Caitlin Clark could miss battle against Angel Reese at United Center

The last time Caitlin Clark injured her groin, she looked uncomfortable and then missed the next 5 games. Those games were spread over 12 days, and then there was a 4-day gap before she made her return.

The reigning Rookie of the Year re-injured her groin again on July 15th. If a similar timeline for return is followed, then Clark should be back when the Phoenix Suns come into town on June 30th.

That would lead her to miss the 2nd of her games against college rival Angel Reese, which was scheduled to be held at the United Center. The Chicago Sky did not earn enough gate receipts the last time a game was held there, as Clark sat on the bench after straining her quad.

They would hope this time she recovers faster and returns to play against them. However, that depends on how the expert doctors evaluate her over the next few days. The Fever medical staff do not seem to be taking chances anymore.

Caitlin Clark was partying with Tyrese Haliburton after All-Star game

When Caitlin Clark understood she was not going to be able to participate in the All-Star events, she made it a point that she was still going to make the most of what was lined up for her.

Other than brand commitments and interviews, the 23-year-old made it a point to party as hard as possible. On the first night, she brought along her friends and family, had a whale of a time with the StudBudz crew, and was vibing to music all night long.

She skipped the parties on the night of the 3-point and skills competitions. On the last night, Gainbridge, sponsors of both the Fever and the Pacers, organized a party. There, she had her teammates, friends, team personnel, and then Tyrese Haliburton and his girlfriend Jade Jones.

The injured Pacers guard is a good friend and was present for most of the WNBA All-Star weekend’s activities. He was in his usual good spirits and moved around on his mobility-assistance scooter to keep his right leg in its cast.
