WNBA and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been one of the most talked-about stars ever since she arrived in the league last year. Clark made herself a name with her monstrous performances game after game for the Fever. One may even claim that the WNBA got immense recognition due to Clark’s presence last year.

She garnered immense sponsorships, and also the TV ratings for the WNBA took a huge rise since he made her debut last season. However, Clark has been making the headlines lately, but not for something one would expect. In the last week, two well-known television programs have made references to Clark.

The first was in the drama series “Law & Order,” and the second (and most current) was in the animated comedy “Family Guy.” Per the viral clip, the popular show has thrown shades at the popularity of the WNBA, subtly claiming that the league became popular when Clark arrived. In “Hard Times at Adam West High,” the April 6th premiere of “Family Guy,” Brian (dog character) and Chris (human) explore sports betting in the past.

Brian states, “There’s a Mystics-Sparks game today, remember who won that?” to which Chris responds, “I don’t even know what city they are from.” Brian questions Chris, “Which one has Caitlin Clark?” Chris answers, “I don’t know, both of them, neither!?” Brian quips, “Man… She’s the best!”

Throughout her tenure with Iowa and Indiana, Clark broke attendance and viewership records, which surely contributed to the WNBA’s and women’s basketball’s overall popularity. However, the appeal of the league extends far beyond Clark, as players like Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, and A’ja Wilson are dominating—or soon to dominate—the WNBA.

Stephanie White makes an important admission regarding Caitlin Clark

Indiana Fever HC Stephanie White made a recent appearance on the Good Follow podcast, addressing various issues in and around her side. In addition, she also spoke about her star, Caitlin Clark. White has already identified a component of Clark’s last season that she hopes to strengthen this year. White stated that Clark has to be careful while dealing with the ‘WNBA officials’ in the coming season.

Mostly because she had 6 technical fouls last year, one less than a suspension. This is something White is looking to improve going into the next season.

It’s the nagging ones, right? Like getting on the official and continuing to nag… That’s my job…The goal is not to stifle it.

Stephanie White said

Clark herself has admitted to the problem. She stated that she intends to reduce the number of technical errors she commits. Also, she will not go over two in the forthcoming season on the NCAA Tournament Championship telecast alongside Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird.

Serena Williams recently clarified her feelings on Fever star Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark has surely got the whole world on notice with her impressive rookie year in the WNBA, playing for the Indiana Fever. Recently, world-renowned tennis star Serena Williams made an intriguing revelation about Clark and her ability to ‘stay focused’ during the games. Williams stated that she is ‘impressed’ with Clark’s presence on the court.

I felt like she’s always herself, she stayed out of it, just muted the noise. She has this maturity that I didn’t have. I felt like she was, like me, purposely staying away (from distractions). I respect that. Kudos to her.

Serena Williams told TIME

When Clark, 23, joined the WNBA, she received a lot of negative comments. However, she swiftly disproved the doubters by leading the Fever to the postseason for the first time since 2016, breaking numerous records, and igniting the league’s historic surge in popularity.
