Caitlin Clark gives final verdict about LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan GOAT debate
WNBA star Caitlin Clark made her views clear on the GOAT debate involving LeBron James and Michael Jordan in a recent interview.

Caitlin Clark
WNBA and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been one of the best things that has happened to the league last year. Clark has been a phenomenal player for the Fever in her rookie yer, and shes just getting started. After capping off a brilliant year with the Fever, Clark has been attending various interviews and podcast shows in her off time.
Notably, in her recent interview, Clark made a bold admission about the NBA superstar LeBron James. But before that, Clark did claim that she is not one ‘to make comparisons.’ She laid down the hammer on the most controversial ‘GOAT debate’.
I hate saying this because LeBron is like the greatest basketball player of all time, but obviously he didn’t even go to college and he had all these expectations coming out of high school to be like the greatest player ever…. It’s incredible what he’s done for the game and the way he’s carried himself. I’ve always been a fan of his

One thing is clear: Clark knows who her GOAT is in the NBA. In addition, picking James over the likes of Jordan, the late Kobe Bryant, and other NBA legends comes as a huge statement towards James in the ever-controversial debate.
As for the Fever star, she attracted a new generation of women’s basketball fans to the sport and lit up packed arenas night after night. She topped all rookies in points, assists, and three-pointers. In a recent interview, however, Clark stated unequivocally that she is not here to be someone else despite all the chaos and pressure. Her purpose is to be authentic.
Clark also claimed that she wants to be ‘ambitious’ going into the second year in the WNBA. Interestingly, her ambition is supported by her rookie statistics. Caitlin Clark set rookie three-point shooting records, averaging more than 20 points and six assists per game. Also, she swiftly established herself as the team’s face. Now, all eyes will drift upon her once the new WNBA season begins.
This is not the first time Caitlin Clark called LeBron James the GOAT
It’s not a secret that WNBA star Caitlin Clark has been a long-time admirer of LeBron James, as she made her thoughts known lately. However, this was not the first time Clark dropped the hammer on James being the GOAT in basketball. Back in December 2024, Clark expressed her appreciation for the four-time NBA champion in an interview with TIME. She called the Lakers star “the greatest basketball player of all time.”
LeBron never messaged me directly, but it has been cool to just see his support of myself and the W overall. You can tell he really watches and turns it on. He has been a huge fan of myself from college and now in the W. I mean, he’s the greatest basketball player of all time, so I think that’s pretty cool.

Notably, both James and Clark share immense respect for each other. At times, James has come out strong to show his support for Clark via his social media. Not only that, but Clark also appreciated that in her interview with TIME.
With the new WNBA season coming up, there will be huge expectations on Clark going into her second year, but one this is clear, she will have James as a supporter, backing her all the way.
LeBron James once had an epic response to Caitlin Clark ‘haters’
LeBron James has been an unwavering advocate since she was a member of Iowa, where she guided her team to a national title game. After her incredible NCAA career ended in a hard loss to the South Carolina Gamecock in April 2024, James turned to X to call anyone who wasn’t a Caitlin Clark supporter a hater.
If you don’t rock with Caitlin Clark game you’re just a FLAT OUT HATER!!!!! Stay far away from them people!! PLEASE
LeBron James wrote on X
Receiving acknowledgment from someone like “King James,” whose career covers two decades, is no minor accomplishment for a rookie in her first pro season. However, James and Clark created an unmatched amount of excitement before even setting foot on a professional basketball floor, surpassing any other sports stars.
