Until Caitlin Clark became a phenom in the world of basketball, fans were mostly resigned to dealing with signature sneakers that came from NBA superstars, and the odd one or two from the WNBA.
Yes, Sabrina Ionescu‘s Nike signature sneakers are a major hit among many players, both in the women’s and men’s leagues. But many felt that if one was to truly hit it off, it would be the Indiana Fever superstar.
Her ability to draw millions of fans was something the WNBA never witnessed before, and now, she is ranked above some of the greats from the men’s game, such as LeBron James, when it comes to marketing worth.
Fans have been waiting, impatiently to a degree, as Nike works on Caitlin Clark’s signature shoe. After releasing her signature logo and apparel earlier this year, fans are waiting for some news on when her sneaker is set to debut.
That’s pretty cool and China’s not a place I’ve ever been to, but I know I’ll be there very soon. I think that’s very exciting. I think having that type of reach is also something that has an impact on me.
Caitlin Clark told Telfair Tong
This was the Iowa native’s response when Telfair Tong asked her how she manages to inspire fans across the globe. From this answer, it seems Clark is hinting at a possible visit to China soon.

If anything, it is not going to be a vacation. Rather, it could be a Kobe Bryant-esque tour of the country, which eventually made his sneakers become one of the best-selling in the world.
Caitlin Clark reveals why she had Travis Scott and Kelce brothers in her Nike commercial
Telfair Tong met Caitlin Clark on the day her Nike commercial, ‘From Anywhere,‘ dropped on Christmas, and was part of the NFL’s Christmas Day festivities. When he asked her what those featured in the commercial meant to her, the point guard replied:
I think a lot of the people that are in this commercial are either people I’ve met or interacted with, or have been big supporters of my career thus far.
Caitlin Clark said
The 23-year-old detailed how Travis Scott was a big supporter from her time at Iowa, and that NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce have been supporting her all throughout college, and now that she is in the WNBA.

Then there was her college basketball coach, Lisa Bluder, who helped develop Clark to become the sensational star that she has become. Then there was Michael Che, with whom she has a close friendship, especially after trolling him on Saturday Night Live.
Thus, every known person who has played a part in that commercial has something to do with her growth as one of the most popular female athletes in the world. That is why she wanted them to be a part of it.
Caitlin Clark’s signature sneaker could be a global release
The release of this commercial has sparked many theories. Fans believe everyone who was in the ‘From Anywhere‘ ad could be getting a custom edition of Caitlin Clark‘s upcoming signature shoe.

More importantly, the very caption of the commercial seems to indicate that the Fever superstar’s first show could be a global launch. It is not as if Nike does not sell their shoes anywhere they can.
But to make a commercial about it with that tagline has fans thinking the sneaker giant is betting its chips on Clark’s popularity, and could see her shoe becoming a hot seller across the world.
Considering how popular she is, and with the revelation about a possible China tour, Nike could be setting up the 2-time All-Star to become a global phenomenon.
