The 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis was the perfect situation for Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever to shine. She was elected as the captain for Team Clark and was also supposed to make her highly anticipated debut in the 3-point contest.
Unfortunately, she aggravated her groin injury during the dying seconds of their win over the Connecticut Sun. She missed their following game against the New York Liberty, hoping the rest would help her.
But it became apparent that it was too risky to compete in both All-Star events. She released a statement, confirming that she was pulling out of all basketball related activities over the weekend. However, that was not going to stop Clark from attending any other events.
The 23-year-old dragged her aunts, parents, brother, boyfriend, and close friends to a party later on Thursday night. Her guests mingled with WNBA stars, appeared on StudBudz’s live stream, and hung out when R&B singer Mario belted out some of his hits.
Ahead of the 3-point contest and skills challenge, Caitlin Clark and her Fever teammates appeared on Good Morning America with Robin Roberts. After that, she appeared as a special guest on Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe‘s podcast.
I’m calling Sue the head of officials. That’s what I’ve been saying.

The reigning Rookie of the Year was referring to call Sue Blauch, head of the WNBA’s officials after the heated argument she had with an official in that game against the Connecticut Sun.
The referee supposedly said something to Clark, which sent her into a fit of rage. She had to be pulled back by assistant coach Briann January, to avoid getting ejected. Clark later spoke with the official to sort the matter, but it seems it did not work.
Caitlin Clark recalls Sue Bird did not help her in game vs Seattle
While on the live podcast, A Touch More, Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe discussed a lot about how Caitlin Clark has matured as a player from year 1 to year 2. While discussing her rookie season, the Seattle Storm legend brought up a picture, that has become a meme on the internet.
The picture shows the Indiana Fever star lying in front of Bird and Rapinoe. She was fouled, and found herself out of bounds and in front of Storm supporters. Clark recalled the hilarious incident:
Jordan Horston fouled me, and they didn’t call a landing space foul, pretty usual. I thought one of the Seattle fans would help me. Maybe even you, but… I even had green shoes on, and no one’s still helping me.

Bird recalled that she froze in that moment, not knowing what to do. She knew that either way she was going to get brickbats, as she was sitting right in front of Clark. Thankfully, the Fever guard got up on her own and went back on to the court.
Caitlin Clark spending time with All-Star teammates
After the podcast, it was time for All-Star practice. Even though she is not playing in the game, Caitlin Clark decided to link up with her teammates on the court. She had a basketball in her hands at all times, but was hesitant to join shooting practice.

The 23-year-old did assist her teammates by gathering rebounds, and cheering them up. She did attempt a half-court shot, but was quickly asked by Fever staff sitting courtside to avoid aggravating her injury.
The Iowa native will be seated on the bench alongside Team Clark head coach Sandy Brondello. She will be donning her assistant coach’s hat tomorrow when her team takes on Team Collier in the 2025 WNBA All-Star game.
