Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever completed their two-game road trip to return back home for the next stretch. They knew that with those wins, they were one step closer to achieving a playoff berth. They haven’t made it to the WNBA postseason in eight years. Little did they expect that their place was cemented tonight once Angel Reese and her Chicago Sky lost.

The Chicago Sky stand at 11-22 after their seventh straight loss, whereas the Indiana Fever are 17-16. Even if Angel Reese continued her double-doubles to lead her team to win the remaining seven games, they would only match the Fever.

Caitlin Clark and her teammates have the edge as they won 3 out of their 4 head-to-head battles this season. Had the Sky won tonight, the Fever would have had to win at least another game to confirm their playoff spot. But they did not have to, as they can breathe easy with seven games left in the regular season.
