President Donald Trump is facing the most significant domestic crisis since he entered the Oval Office for the second time as head of state of the United States of America.

Even before he became the 47th President, many in the basketball fraternity spoke out against what Donald Trump stood for and how it did not align with progress. Now, even though most of those voices have not spoken up, some have begun to speak out as the situation in Minneapolis has engulfed the country.

After Renee Nicole Good was shot down by an ICE agent, Stephen A. Smith was the first to speak up, asking if it was necessary to kill her.

Then, after Vice President JD Vance defended the agent’s actions and instead made the slain 37-year-old the culprit, some, such as Michelle Beadle, Nick Wright, and Minnesota Timberwolves fans, condemned the narratives.

People posting dozens of angles of the video showing clear murder as if the President and VP didn’t already declare the ICE agent’s innocence. That man is gonna receive a pardon & the presidential medal of freedom. Morality and legality mean nothing at this point.

This was Caitlin Clark‘s Indiana Fever teammate, who believes the situation in Minneapolis and the country is solely due to the way the Donald Trump administration is running the country. The 6-year forward questioned whether morality exists anymore.

Isaiah Thomas points a finger at Donald Trump for current situation

After Brianna Turner, next up was LeBron James’ former teammate on the Cleveland Cavaliers, who, instead of attacking the entire administration, pointed his finger at Donald Trump.

All those Jan 6 people are the ones tryna justify the murder of that women in Minneapolis!! The US is in a bad place right now and it all comes from ONE GUY!! S**t sad. I go to different countries all over the world and never have these problems. We are in scary times for sure.

Isaiah Thomas wrote on X

The guard believes those who are trying to justify the ICE agent’s actions are those who believe that the January 6th Capitol riots were done in the best interests of the country.

Isaiah Thomas reiterated that the United States has come to this situation due to the way Donald Trump has run this country, and it is unlike any other country he has visited.

The 36-year-old’s words are starting to echo what his former teammate and other basketball folks used to say about the President during his first term. Therefore, if this situation continues, it might not be long before the loudest voices open up.

Donald Trump’s stance is demoralizing to the country, says Steve Kerr

Now that more and more people were starting to talk about this incident, reporters at Chase Center decided to ask Steve Kerr if he had any opinion about it.

It’s shameful that in our country, we can have law enforcement officers who commit murder and seemingly get away with it. It’s shameful that the government can come out and lie about what happened when there’s video and witnesses who have all come out and disputed what the government is saying.

Steve Kerr told reporters

As someone who proudly supported Donald Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, the Warriors head coach was visibly upset about how the situation had escalated.

He praised the Minnesota Timberwolves for giving Renee Nicole Good her respects, even though the government is trying to make it seem as if it was the woman’s mistake that ended her life.

Now, with Kerr speaking out, the basketball world could resume criticizing Donald Trump and how he is running the country, as they have done in the past.
