One of the many interesting quirks about Caitlin Clark is her love for golf. The Indiana Fever sensation is a golf enthusiast and played at the Annika Sorenstam Pro-Am golf tournament in November 2024. She also turned up at the Augusta Masters in April and watched Rory McIlroy complete his career slam.

Caitlin Clark is by no means a great golfer – in fact, she only recently became a fan. However, according to world No. 1 Kelly Korda, she has a lot of the right attributes needed to get better at the sport. Speaking to the media at the Pro-Am in November, Korda praised Clark’s golfing skills:

It was great to see how relaxed she was. Obviously with the media attention she has gotten probably in the past year-and-a-half, two years, you can see how she’s comfortable playing in front of a larger crowd. And she was just really enjoying it. You can tell. She’s definitely very talented. She was picking the ball really clean. She was losing a couple shots to the right, but I asked her how many times a week she plays and I think with the amount of obligations she has she probably gets to the golf course once a week.

The face of the WNBA caused a stir after she posted a tweet lamenting how difficult the Fairmont golf course is.

Is Oakmont even fun to play? I’d shoot 130 easily

Fairmont is currently playing host to the US Open golf tournament. American Sam Burns is leading the standings with a -3 under par score at the time of writing. He is being tailed by Australian Adam Scott, who is at -1 overall, and is +2 through three holes on Day 4. American JJ Spaun rounds out the top three, hitting +3 on the day and standing at a par score through four holes on Sunday.

The struggles of even these top golfers has clearly gotten to Caitlin Clark, who seems to have no faith in her ability to negotiate the challenges posed by the Fairmont golf course.

Caitlin Clark helped Indiana inflict the New York Liberty’s first defeat of the 2025 WNBA season on Saturday

The New York Liberty were the last remaining unbeaten team in the WNBA after the Minnesota Lynx’s loss to the Seattle Storm on Wednesday. They traveled to Indianapolis for their second faceoff against the Fever of the season on Saturday. After the two teams remained neck-and-neck through the first half, the Fever pulled away in the third quarter. They finished the game with a 102-88 win, making a big statement.

Caitlin Clark lit up the Liberty with 32 points and nine assists, adding eight rebounds as well. She had a stretch during the first quarter in which she scored nine points in just 45 seconds of play.

The superstar’s microwave moment sent WNBA fans scurrying to their keyboards looking for superlatives. Her ability to be an offensive menace is truly generational as she pulled within one game of Diana Taurasi in games with 50+ points scored or assisted.

After missing the last five games, Clark’s return galvanized the Fever offense, which had stuttered in her absence. Caitlin Clark is now averaging 21.6 points and 9.2 assists this season. She has upped her 3-point percentage to 36.7% while having perhaps the toughest shot profile in WNBA history. Clark is proving that she is ready to hang with the class of the WNBA, judging from her performance against Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and co.
