As the new year comes into play, Caitlin Clark took some time out to appear on New Heights, the podcast hosted by NFL star Travis Kelce and his retired older brother Jason Kelce.

After including them in her latest Nike commercial titled, ‘From Anywhere’, the Indiana Fever superstar accepted their request to appear on their final episode of 2025.

Initially, they got to talking about her commercial, and how she wanted to include them as her first signature shoe takes shape before a launch later this year.

Then, as they continued their conversation, Jason Kelce revealed that Clark had sent him a goodie bag featuring her commercial’s tag line. After opening it, he realized there was a Pop-A-Shot kit to play with.

After the now ESPN analyst tried his hand at a few shots, he could not do it with both hands, before finally nailing one from his seat with just his right arm. Then, he called upon his oldest daughter, Wyatt Kelce, to try her hand.

When the 6-year-old tried to shoot, she missed on her first attempt, and then drew a bout of laughter when she almost threw it in a baseball pitching manner. After finally making a shot with both her hands, a cheering Caitlin Clark said this:

She’s got a future, Jason.

Caitlin Clark remarked

She might have inclined that the oldest daughter of a future NFL Hall of Famer and a former field hockey star at the same Lower Merion High School, the late great Kobe Bryant attended, might have a future in the WNBA.

Caitlin Clark hopes Jason Kelce can dunk soon

As the conversation continued about basketball, Jason Kelce revealed that he has been working on trying to dunk a basketball on a regulation-sized court. After watching clips of his attempts, Caitlin Clark said:

I think it’s technically easier to jump off one foot than two feet. Jumping off two is probably harder.

Caitlin Clark said

She then reminded the former Philadelphia Eagles star that it is better that he starts attempting to dunk with a tennis ball, then move on to a volleyball, before trying to go all the way with a basketball. It helps to get the motion right before attempting the hardest of them all.

She may have said this, keeping in mind that Jason Kelce is a 300lb man, which is a hindrance even though he stands at 6′ 3″ tall. His younger brother, Travis Kelce, who stands at 6′ 5″ and weighs 50lbs lesser, is known for dunking with ease.

Then, the latter asked Caitlin Clark if she could dunk. The Iowa native replied that at the most, she can grab the rim. She would rather shoot from outside the 3-point line than attempt a dunk.

Caitlin Clark reveals her signature shoe will be unlike any other

When talking about her signature shoe, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce asked how Caitlin Clark’s upcoming version will be different. To this, the two-time All-Star replied:

The technology that we are going to put into it isn’t anything that they’ve put into a basketball shoe before. So, I’m really excited about that.

The 23-year-old then detailed how she informed Nike what she wanted after trying out various shoes over the years. Clark has a penchant for Nike’s Kobe Protro 5’s and 6’s, as has been evident from the limited edition PEs she wears.

The Fever superstar informed the sneaker giant that she would need whatever technology is in them as the base of her shoe, and then they brought in some new tech that will be revealed over time.

Clark, however, confirmed that this will be a dedicated basketball shoe, unlike what her rival and Team USA running mate, Angel Reese, is doing with her signature model with Reebok.
