Indiana Fever's new $78 million performance center excited Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark has done her bit in transforming not only the fortunes of the WNBA, but also her Indiana Fever. Her presence as the most popular person in the city of Indianapolis has seen a wave of attention that has benefitted them.

The Indiana Fever had the highest average attendance and managed to sell out their Gainbridge Fieldhouse arena quite a few times. Along with that, she has pushed merchandise sales through the roof. There is no denying that the 22-year-old’s presence made the team more popular than even the Indiana Pacers.

Her impact was such that the city of Indianapolis reportedly saw a major windfall in overall revenue and businesses are thriving. It was only fitting for the Pacers organization to help their sister team get everything they need. That saw the Fever’s official mediums announce this earlier today.

Owner Herb Simon revealed he worked with Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and relevant partners to plan this facility to help Clark and her teammates. With construction set to start, the $78 million facility comes on the back of the awesome facilities built by the Phoenix Mercury, Las Vegas Aces and Seattle Storm.

This performance will see players enjoy the benefits of those facilities as they look to be in peak physical shape to perform at their best. Moreover, that could be a huge draw for prospective free agents. Knowing that, Clark’s teammate Aliyah Boston said this to reporter Kendra Andrews.

At all free agents, you know where it’s at.

Aliyah Boston said

The Indiana Fever have just cored All-Star Kelsey Mitchell but still have a ton of cap space. The rookie contracts of Caitlin Clark, Boston, NaLyssa Smith, Lexie Hull and others will help them court top free agents.

Satou Sabally is on her way out of the Dallas Wings and is heavily favored to land with the Fever. Her elite scoring and perimeter defense will be a major boost to the core. Maybe Boston knows that and hence sent a message suggesting the performance center should be an added bonus.
