“You f***ers are crazy!” Caitlin Clark receiving backlash from MAGA supporters has Dave Portnoy calling them out
Dave Portnoy questions motives of WNBA fans slamming Caitlin Clark for talking about White privilege and promoting Black athletes.

Dave Portnoy and WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark
Time Magazine announced that Caitlin Clark was their Athlete of the Year for 2024. In the subsequent interview, the WNBA superstar suggested that she was aware that her ‘White Privilege’ did help in netting massive endorsements and popularity. However, at the same time, that comment led to many to slam her.
Most notably, it was journalist Megyn Kelly who suggested the Indiana Fever star had bowed down to WOKE culture the league projected. That comment spread like wildfire and many MAGA supporters joined in to suggest Clark had lost the plot.
Along with that came criticisms from other conservative analysts and fans who felt the 22-year-old had lost a lot of fans in the process. But longtime supporter and fellow MAGA voter Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy had seen enough.
I will say this loud and clear – Caitlin Clark’s popularity has absolutely nothing to do with the color of her skin. This backlash of like Caitlin turned on the league and Caitlin is woke, and Caitlin is this… You f***ers are crazy. And that’s what I hate.

So far, the ones who were most critical of the WNBA Rookie of the Year‘s words were those who suggested she was apologizing for being White. But Portnoy pointed out that she never apologized. Instead, he suggested that she has gained more than the other players in terms of popularity due to the color of her skin.
Dave Portnoy questions fans after their slander of Caitlin Clark
Caitlin Clark stood her ground during the Time Magazine awards ceremony when asked for a response towards Megyn Kelly‘s comments. Kelly did not appreciate the 22-year-old standing her ground and suggested she had lost a lot of fans. Dave Portnoy had a problem with this narrative.
Anyone who’s mad at Caitlin Clark right now for saying she wants to elevate the league, she respects the players that came before them and know that they put in all the work that allows her to be in a professional League. If you have a problem with that, you were never a Caitlin Clark fan and you are part of the problem too.

Dave Portnoy suggested that those fans targeting Clark were not real fans. He felt they were part of the problem the WNBA has faced all season long when the so-called fans donned MAGA hats and threw racist innuendos at Black players. Instead, he wants them to be real fans of the WNBA.
