Since the All-Star weekend was taking place in Indianapolis, Caitlin Clark was supposed to have the time of her life. She could not participate in either the 3-point contest or the All-Star game, but nevertheless had a great time with teammates, most notably, with Sabrina Ionescu.
The Fever guard witnessed Ionescu reclaim her throne as the 3-point contest queen with a score that tied for the 2nd best ever. After the events, the players went back to partying, forcing the next day’s practices and shootarounds to be canceled.
Before the All-Star game, Clark donned the hat of assistant coach. After joining her fellow peers to speak up about their need to get what they deserve in the next CBA, she took her spot on the bench.
Throughout the game, she kept yelling instructions at her teammates, even drawing up a play and then trolling her teammates for botching her schemes. After the game, when the players went back to their locker rooms, they embraced and bid farewell.
Once the festivities were over, all the players started to post their highlights of the All-Star weekend. Clark also posted some, but took note of what her teammates uploaded, particularly that shared by Sabrina Ionescu.
Looking real natural in that lockerroom.

This was Clark’s reply to the All-Star post on the Liberty guard’s page. More specifically, it was directed at a photo depicting Ionescu sitting beside the Fever guard inside the Gainbridge Fieldhouse’s home locker room. A sly suggestion that she could come to Indiana.
Caitlin Clark’s reply was fitting considering the New York rumors that swirled around her
When Caitlin Clark re-injured her groin, she could not play their last game against the New York Liberty. After the game, Ionescu and Natasha Cloud embraced her, and offered words of encouragement.

Later, in the tunnels, Clark was photographed speaking with Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello and star forward Breanna Stewart, among others. Fans started to believe that the Brooklyn-based team was in her good books and were looking to recruit her.
Those rumors are baseless, considering the 23-year-old prefers to stay in Indianapolis, which is just a few hours away from her home in Iowa. As a die-hard Midwesterner, she prefers that life over the hustle and bustle of New York.
This reply was anything but to have some fun with Ionescu, who has been one of her closest mentors since coming out of college. She has often mentioned how she constantly speaks with the Fever star, offering support, especially during these injuries.
Caitlin Clark will not face Sabrina Ionescu in potentially last matchup this season
The Indiana Fever will travel to the Big Apple to face the New York Liberty on July 22nd. It is the last regular-season game between the two teams. However, fans will not be able to watch Clark battle Ionescu.
The Fever ruled their point guard out and confirmed she would be visiting doctors to get a better understanding of her injury and subsequent recovery timetable. If her recovery goes well, she can return soon.

Says she’s going to meet with some doctors and get some more evaluations on her right groin injury early this week.
Unless Clark returns soon and helps her team catch fire, there is a chance they may not make it far enough in the playoffs to meet Ionescu and the Liberty again. The defending champions are looking to protect their crown.
