When Caitlin Clark was facing increasing levels of envy from her peers, LeBron James was one of the few superstars who came out to support the Indiana Fever superstar.
He publicly called out those who were displaying that petty behavior when they heard claims that the Iowa Hawkeye was single-handedly pulling in millions of new fans.
James continued to support the point guard and was among the first to praise her whenever her on-court performances matched the lofty hype that came along.
Clark has also been vocal about who she thinks is the greatest basketball player of all time, labeling the Los Angeles Lakers superstar as such on many occasions.
The 41-year-old has been receiving a lot of flak this season, with many pointing out the superstar’s contract and lack of effort on defense as being the reason behind the Lakers’ struggles. To this, LeBron James posted a series of photos on Instagram with this caption:
No matter if you LOVE or HATE me you will REMEMBER me.

Caitlin Clark reposted this to her page, which means she was supporting her favorite NBA player while also sending a message to both LeBron James and her critics that no matter what they thought of them, they were going to be talked about forever.

This could be a slight at those who claimed that the WNBA’s ratings in the 2025 season proved that the Fever star was not the sole reason for the league’s growth.
Unrivaled viewership numbers confirm Caitlin Clark’s impact
After completing her rookie season, it was rumored that the upstart Unrivaled league had offered Caitlin Clark a million-dollar salary along with an additional share in revenue.

She declined to join them, as her focus was on rest and working on improving her game. Then, this past season, she again opted out of a chance to play for them, as she was recovering from injury.
The league saw what it was without the most popular women’s basketball player, as their inaugural year saw viewership ratings a fraction of what Clark-led Indiana Fever games drew.
This year, those numbers have dwindled even further, with Front Office Sports’ Annie Costabile noting that the massive 43% drop in ratings has brought concerns over the league’s long-term sustainability.
Even though co-founders Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart are confident that TV ratings were a complete indication of their success, it paints the picture of what the league needs.
This also happens to be a slap in the face of those who claimed that the WNBA did well to garner more than a million viewers without Caitlin Clark playing.
Unrivaled’s numbers prove those claims were unfounded, as the Iowa native was present for fans and cameras every step of the way.
Caitlin Clark spends time with employees at Nike HQ
It seems Nike is the only entity that is fully appreciating Caitlin Clark’s popularity. The sneaker giant is in the process of launching her signature sneaker and is pulling out the stops.
They have launched quite a few signature shoes in the past few years, but never before have they spent time, money, and effort to create a marketing campaign this elaborate.
After stunning the sports world with her ‘From Anywhere’ commercial, which they aired on Christmas Day during the NFL games, there is a certain buzz about what is coming.
Then, Clark revealed on New Heights that her shoe will feature never-before-seen technology, something Nike does not do for just anyone. The Fever star also revealed that she would be traveling to China, which is again a rare move.

Next, the company decided to host Caitlin Clark at their headquarters. Replete with her ‘From Anywhere’ jacket, the 23-year-old mingled with employees and played Pop-A-Shot. It seems Nike believes they have a winner on their hands.
