Caitlin Clark SEETHING after horrible performance, loses 2nd straight WNBA game

Caitlin Clark seethes as her horrible performance in 2nd game in WNBA leads Indiana Fever to suffer blowout loss from the New York Liberty

Caitlin Clark played her 2nd ever WNBA. This time at home, she and her Indiana Fever went up against the 2nd best team in the league in the New York Liberty. Despite the expectations, Clark ended up having a horrible performance by her high standards, culminating in a 2nd straight loss. Naturally, the frustrations were visible as Clark was seen walking to the bench seething in anger.

From the start of the game, the difference in talent was evident. Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever team are a young squad who are still finding their feet in the league. On the other hand, Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty were last year’s runners-up and are poised to fight for the championship this year too. It was evident from the 1st quarter as the Liberty jumped out to a lead. Even though the Fever tried to reduce the deficit before the end of the 1st half, the Liberty went pedal to the floor and eventually blew out the Fever 102-66.

The college scoring record holder was seething in anger as she walked even while dapping up teammates. Anger can be good for a player. She could use it to get better as the days go by, to become as great as the world is expecting her to be.

The days ahead for Caitlin Clark will be tough

After her game 1 loss, most of the analysts were clear that the going would be tough as Caitlin Clark takes her time to learn the nuances of the WNBA. In this first month of the season, Clark and her Indiana Fever will play 7 of their 9 games against 4 teams that are favored to vie for the title. A tough scenario for Clark looking for her first win in the league. She and her teammates can try to win the other two games, which are against close friend and 2nd overall pick Cameron Brink and the Los Angeles Sparks.

Therefore, the going will be tough for Clark as she and her teammates this season. Caitlin Clark, considering that she is the primary playmaker, will have to adapt and learn as she goes. The team’s success depends on how she finds open teammates or direct traffic to beat defenses.

But to her advantage, the Indiana Fever are a young squad. They are poised to grow together, learning about themselves as they continue to play. That is the best way to build chemistry, something that will help them elevate their game and eventually become successful.
