Caitlin Clark could not do much in her 2nd WNBA season as she dealt with soft-tissue injuries in both her legs. She played in just 13 games and sat out for the rest of the season, cheering on her teammates.

She was the loudest cheerleader for her Indiana Fever, who pushed eventual champions, the Las Vegas Aces, to a series-deciding Game 5. However, their lack of personnel was too much of a hurdle to overcome, as A’ja Wilson and her teammates powered their way to the Finals.

Now, in her offseason, Clark first spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, watching their game at Lucas Oil Stadium. After that, she left Indiana and started her trip to various events across the country. Her next stop was Kansas City, where she watched her childhood team, the Chiefs, alongside her favorite musical artist, Taylor Swift, in the luxury suites.

Since she is not going to play in the 2nd season of the Unrivaled league, it was expected that she would turn to her 2nd hobby, golf. The Athletic confirmed that Caitlin Clark will indeed return to play in The Annika, part of the LPGA Tour, on November 12th.

Last time, she rubbed shoulders with Nelly Korda and golfing great Annika Sorenstam. This time, Korda might return, as she is still nursing an injury. Other than her, Clark will face some of the tour’s best. They will all be vying for the $3.25 million prize money that the Pro/Am tournament features. Caitlin Clark will fly to Florida to try her hand at performing better than last year.

Annika Sorenstam welcomes Caitlin Clark back to her tournament

Last year, Caitlin Clark’s presence caused a major jump in ticket sales and media coverage of The Annika. The tournament’s host, Annika Sorenstam, had then acknowledged what the WNBA superstar had done for women’s sports.

The Swedish golfer wrote this on X, welcoming the Indiana Fever point guard back to Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. Clark has often talked about how she loves golf and how she loves playing in the offseason.

Last year, she sported custom golf shoes Nike designed for her, replete with a gold sole and spikes. This time, it is possible that she will sport products from her signature apparel collection.

Caitlin Clark promises not to hit fans this time

Last time when Caitlin Clark took to The Annika, she drew in a lot of fans, with some claiming her impact was similar to how golfing great, Tiger Woods, had.

That fan following saw many ardent aficionados line the greens whenever the Iowa native was about to hit a golf ball. On one occasion, the superstar ended up almost hitting a fan. This time, she hopes to avoid a repeat of such an incident.

Will try not to hit anyone.

The jovial point guard knows how to laugh at things, especially when it involves a mistake on her part. The Fever star hopes she has had enough practice to avoid swinging at a fan this time.

Entry ticket prices for The Annika are pegged at an affordable $25. That low price should see hordes of fans clamor to watch Caitlin Clark take her talents to golf.
