Basketball phenom Caitlin Clark admits being mindblown after meeting New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge at Yankee Stadium. The star player was invited as a celebrity guest for the Yankees game against the Texas Rangers on Saturday.

She got her own custom-made pinstripe jersey with the No.22 stitched on the back. Apart from meeting the players and manager, she got access to the Yankees clubhouse and even was part of the YES Network broadcast booth.

While speaking about her experience, she noted how she was surprised by Aaron Judge’s size. Clark admitted she was the “most excited” to meet the NY captain at the Bronx.

He’s huge. He’s pretty swole, too…He’s way bigger than even people think. You know he’s big, but then when you get next to him, it’s like ‘Oh my gosh, you could probably play football, just about any sport you want to’.

She added, “He’s like double my height,” and guessed he’d be a good basketball player too. Apart from his height, Judge’s “down-to-earth” personality impressed the 22-year-old rookie star.

NY Yankees manager Aaron Boone reacts to meeting phenom Caitlin Clark

Donning a New York Yankees jersey and cap, basketball star Caitlin Clark got to click pictures with both team players, including Aaron Judge, and Rangers baseman Josh Jung. She also met NY manager Aaron Boone, and he only had praise in store after meeting her.

Recalling their meet, Boone stated that her appearance at the Bronx had all the NY Yankees players star-struck. He praised Clark, calling her “impressive” and “cool.”

It was really cool. She was impressive. I got to meet her in my office…It was fun to see the amount of our guys that were starstruck being around her. She brought out a good start to the day.

While taking a tour of the broadcast office during the third inning, broadcaster Michael Kay talked about how his daughter did a school project on the basketball star, calling her “really cool”. 

Clark humbly said “it’s cool to kind of be in that position” recalling her school days when she did a project on Mia Hamm, one of the best soccer players of all time. She said she’ll try to do better so that she never takes it for granted.
