Caitlin Clark takes potshots at Fever teammate over dinner check
Caitlin Clark built a strong relationship with Lexie Hull ever since she joined the Indiana Fever in her rookie WNBA season.

Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull
When Caitlin Clark came into the WNBA, one of the first Indiana Fever players who welcomed her with open arms was Lexie Hull. They eventually became very close and have gone on vacation with their significant other.
Hull was a 6th overall pick for the Fever and was part of the young core that was trending upwards. When Clark came in, Hull fell out of the rotation as then head coach Christie Sides preferred other players. But after the Olympics break, the situation changed.
The 25-year-old was brought in to shore up their defense. But along with that, she was shooting threes at a league leading clip. The Washington native revealed that Caitlin Clark had a motivated her to step her game up after they spent time vacationing.
Earlier today, the WNBA Rookie of the Year spent time with NFL great Eli Manning. While talking about how her WNBA career has been so far, Manning chose to start a Q&A round. In one of those questions, he asked her who on her team was least likely to pick up the check after a team dinner. To this the 23-year-old superstar replied.
Well, I have a bunch of new teammates…probably Lexie. Lexie Hull.

Calling out one Lexie Hull as one of the cheapest teammates was easy. She has not been to a team dinner with any of her new teammates. Therefore, it was safe to call out Hull in public, knowing her friend would not mind.
Lexie Hull claps back at Caitlin Clark
Lexie Hull is currently in Miami for Unrivaled league as she plays alongside Clark’s rival Angel Reese. She and her teammates are busy streaking their way to the playoffs. But such a clip would come to her attention, and she wrote this to Caitlin Clark’s IG post.
Wowwwwwwwww. No free meals/snacks/drinks/anything from me from here on out.

The superstar saw this reply and reverted back that she did not expect anything less from Hull. It goes to show that the two are close and do not mind publicly trolling each other. This chemistry is what led the Indiana Fever to reach the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons.

Heading into year 2, Caitlin Clark will bank on Lexie Hull’s ability to build chemistry quickly with the rest of their new teammates. She is the de facto glue of the Fever, and her ability to get everyone on the same page will be instrumental in their championship goals.
