No one counted on the Indiana Pacers to be competitive enough to win games against the league-best Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. Caitlin Clark does not believe in that logic and makes it a point to appear courtside at her workplace to cheer her close friend Tyrese Haliburton and his teammates.
She has witnessed how the men’s team has made it a habit of taking their time to analyze their opponents, understanding where they can attack, and then pushing their opponents over the edge all throughout the 2025 playoffs.
Clark dubbed her male counterparts the greatest comeback team in basketball. She might have a point, as the Pacers have made it a habit of coming back from double-digit deficits. Tonight, in Game 3, the Pacers looked like they would fall back into the same pattern.
However, in the 2nd quarter, they blitzed the Thunder and took the lead. During this time, the WNBA Rookie of the Year was enjoying the game and even flashed Reggie Miller‘s famous ‘choke’ sign to suggest that the Thunder were choking under pressure.

Later in the 3rd quarter, the away team came storming back, however, they could not open a lead big enough to rattle the home team. Buoyed by their home fans, Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers stepped up the pressure in the 4th quarter and won the game by a score of 116-107.
‘Lucky charm’ Caitlin Clark helps Indiana Pacers win 8th straight game
Whenever Caitlin Clark is present at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to watch the Indiana Pacers play in these playoffs, they have won. Today, by winning Game 3, that streak extends to 8-0. She has become a lucky charm, hence often sits on one of the courtside seats or in the VIP section.
The Indiana Fever superstar watched as the men’s team suffocated the Oklahoma City Thunder in the fourth quarter and forced them into turnovers that ultimately cost them the game. Tyrese Haliburton and his teammates would hope that Clark returns to watch Game 4, as they look to take a decisive series lead.
The 23-year-old WNBA star should be courtside on Friday the 13th, as the Fever does not have a game that day. They have a game on the next day, which should mark Clark’s first game back after sitting out with her quad injury.

Quad injury or not, the Iowa native had no problems lifting up Haliburton’s girlfriend after winning the Eastern Conference Finals. She should be courtside to help keep her winning streak going, which should be enough to help the city of Indianapolis win its 1st ever NBA title.
Tyrese Haliburton almost notched a triple-double in Game 3
Tyrese Haliburton was once regarded as a good NBA player, but one who lacked the aggression to be a team leader. Fast forward to now, and that notion has completely changed. The 25-year-old has elevated himself to be one of the best postseason clutch players in league history.

His Game 1 winner stole the show in an otherwise average day for the Indiana Pacers. In Game 2, his performance deteriorated enough that analysts were asking if he lost the plot. Tonight in Game 3, he came out of the gates with vigor.
The Iowa State alum was at the head of every single Pacers run and aligned himself with his teammates to either create shots, rebound the ball, or score. He ended the game with 22 points and 11 assists, and was 1 rebound shy of setting his 2nd triple-double of this postseason.
Last time he notched his triple-double at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Indiana Pacers hope he notches his second one in Game 4, so that they can take a pivotal 3-1 series lead against the Oklahoma City Thunder before hitting the road again.
