Fans of Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark know that she tends to do a lot of things well, other than shoot a basketball exceptionally well.

Be it golf, where she might not be at pro golfer Nelly Korda‘s level, but can keep pace with them, even though she admittedly is still learning how to improve her game.

Then there are clips of her throwing perfect spirals with a pigskin, which has led many to shout out her name as a potential starting quarterback for any NFL franchise. These are still hobbies for the recently turned 24-year-old. She, however, has one sport that, had she taken up seriously, could have landed her at the pro level.

Clips of her scoring goals with ease still circulate on social media, and her father claimed that Caitlin Clark could have become one of the better strikers in pro soccer.

Maybe that is why FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder, Alexia Putellas, responded with this message while sharing the Fever star’s post on Instagram.

Okay… let’s play on the same team. Just in case.

The point guard has received messages from some of the greats of other sports, but a direct recruiting pitch from arguably one of the greatest female soccer stars in the world was a first.

Alexia Putellas had some nice words for Caitlin Clark

Alexia Putellas did not just write that message to Caitlin Clark out of the blue. The Spanish national team captain gave a simple reply to the Iowa native, teasing that she would unretire from playing soccer.

The latter’s message came about when she decided to showcase what the 32-year-old sent her as a gift. Clark revealed that the reigning World Cup-winning captain had sent her latest Nike Phantom 6 Low Elite boots.

Along with the boots, Putellas sent the Fever star a letter. Unlike most celebrities or sporting greats, who ask their PR team to create and print standout and elegant cards, this was a bit more personal.

It seems the three-time UEFA Women’s Champions League winner had written this letter by herself. Considering that English is essentially Putellas’ third language, the Catalan native managed to do well.

She praised Caitlin Clark’s talent and dedication to her craft, as is evident from the constant workouts the superstar goes through in the offseason and even on her birthday.

Then, after some more good words, Alexia Putella pointed out how the WNBA star has courageously taken on all the criticism and is still managing to change the standards for women’s sports.

Caitlin Clark ‘liked’ Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance and message

As mentioned above, other than her potentially being a professional soccer star, Caitlin Clark also has a lot of interest in the other football. With Super Bowl 60 being broadcast all over the world, there was no doubt that the Fever guard would be watching.

She would have been happier had her childhood favorite Kansas City Chiefs, been playing. But a football fan like herself would also be happy watching the best two teams from this season.

Unlike other times when she gives her opinion about the game, Clark was quiet on social media. It could be that the game was boring and devoid of controversy.

But she did engage with one social media post pertaining to the Super Bowl. The post shows halftime performer Bad Bunny going through his set.

Unsurprisingly, Caitlin Clark liked the post, suggesting she, too, like millions of others, liked what they saw from the Puerto Rican. She may not have understood a word he sang, but the entire theatrics was peak entertainment.
