“Be funnier dumba**!” Caitlin Clark wins over SNL crowd with hilarious clapback to women’s sports jokes

After playing her best year in college, Caitlin Clark is now getting ready to play at the professional level. But before that, she made a quick stop in New York to show her incredible humor this weekend on Saturday Night Live.

Caitlin Clark joined the Weekend Update segment on SNL to teach the host Michael Che a thing or two about women’s sports. After Che opened the segment by joking about Clark’s jersey getting retired, the NCAA star made him read the jokes she wrote herself. The player did not miss the opportunity to shoot some three-pointers at Che.

This year Caitlin Clark broke the record for three-pointers in a single season. And I have three-pointers for Michael Che, 1- Be, 2- Funnier, 3-Dumba**

The young athlete roasted Che throughout the segment receiving huge applause from the crowd. The point guard kept basketball fans on the edge of their seats throughout this season taking the women’s college basketball to another level.

Everyone’s attention is now glued to Monday for the WNBA draft. The players of the iconic class of 2024 will participate in the draft including Clark. The young athlete’s first year on the professional level is hugely anticipated.

Clark has previously expressed her love for WNBA veteran Maya Moore on multiple occasions. This is on the verge of her making her WNBA journey. The star grew up watching the legendary player and now has established a good relationship with her. Moreover, the veteran also was mesmerized by Clark as she visited her just before she broke the NCAA all-time scoring record.

Despite making an unreal impact on women’s basketball, Clark humbly thanked the WNBA legends who paved the way for her and her batchmates. During her SNL appearance, the star took the opportunity to give a shout-out to Moore and other stars before heading for her WNBA draft.

Thanks to all the great players like Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, the great Dawn Staley, and my basketball hero, Maya Moore. These are the women that kicked down the door so I could walk inside.

Like these amazing women, Clark is also likely to make an impact on the WNBA following her exemplary performance on the collegiate level. The beginning of Clark’s influence has already started as her rumored drafting team, the Indiana Fever, has seen a huge surge in ticket sales ahead of the draft.
