Kamala Harris gets support from WNBA and Indiana Fever rookie superstar Caitlin Clark's boyfriend Connor McCaffery.
Connor McCaffery, boyfriend of WNBA and Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark shows his support for Kamala Harris
Caitlin Clark is busy training with her Indiana Fever teammates as they try to cement their playoff position in her first season in the WNBA. Her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery on the other hand, has time as the NBA preseason is yet to start. As such, he has shown support for VP Kamala Harris who is working on winning against Donald Trump in the upcoming Presidential elections.
With most rookies, it is generally not known which side they tilt to when it comes to politics. However, Connor McCaffery seems to have given a clear hint as to whose side he is on. The Indiana Pacers coaching assistant captured an image of former First Lady Michelle Obama giving her powerful speech during the Democratic National Convention. He shared it on his official Instagram account with a heart emoticon.
It is not uncommon to see the newer generation not tagging along the views of the GOP. Moreover, McCaffery’s girlfriend plays in a league that has voiced about women’s rights and the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community for long.

Naturally, they will support those who will continue to give their peers their rights. But Caitlin Clark has not been asked about it or may have avoided the question so far. Many athletes shy away from revealing which side they are on. Just like her ROTY rival Angel Reese who preferred to not give any specific answer.
Caitlin Clark’s political stand might swing WNBA fans
Angel Reese might not have wanted to stir up the pot. After all, she follows her ‘uncle’ Shaquille O’Neal’s stance of staying apolitical. However, it does not mean Clark will not voice her opinions. With the WNBA season being her priority, she might not even answer a question if asked.
If the Indiana Fever rookie does publicly reveal her choice, it could swing a large number of new WNBA fans. As most have followed her from her college days, they represent a growing faction who want to see the 22-year-old succeed.
The NBA world has given an indication of which side they are on. The likes of Stephen Curry openly talking about their take on the Presidential elections has made it clear. But the WNBA side has so far been quiet. Maybe they are waiting for the biggest superstar of the WNBA to talk about it.
