Caitlin Clark’s new teammate exposed as fans dig up ‘hate tweets’ from past: “Signed a real hater”
Caitlin Clark was subjected to a lot of criticisms from fellow WNBA players during her rookie season with the Indiana Fever.

Indiana Fever signed Brianna Turner who shaded Caitlin Clark numerous times last season
Caitlin Clark finished her debut season in the WNBA in mixed fashion. On one hand, she led her Indiana Fever to the playoffs and won the Rookie of the Year in the process. On the other hand, the discourse surrounding race and s**ual preferences saw her swimming in a sea of hate.
She was billed by many as benefitting from heightened attention as she was ‘white and straight’. This led to a discourse that saw her peers across the WNBA look at her as someone enjoying success without actually deserving it.
Prime among those who supposedly led that discourse was Angel Reese and her Chicago Sky teammates. One of her teammates Chennedy Carter blindsiding the Fever rookie added to the notion that the team somehow have built up animosity towards Clark.
However, as the season progressed Clark’s uptick in performances seemingly poured cold water on those narratives. Now she had the game to back up her heightened levels of fame. It was evidently clear that she was drawing viewers in the millions, not only helping the league, but also her peers.
Those performances saw the Indiana Fever reach the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons. But their return to the postseason was cut short. Now as they prepare for the next season, the franchise has made it abundantly clear that they are targeting a WNBA title or two.
They blitzed this free agency period and signed two All-Stars and two impactful bench players. Now, they have gone out and signed another free agent, Brianna Turner. The center is a valuable pick up as they need front court depth.
Fans slam front office for bringing in Caitlin Clark ‘hater’ to Fever
Fans watching the WNBA space understand the need for front court depth. However, what they did not understand is what the Indiana Fever front office was trying to do. Turner was part of the Chicago Sky last season and was active on social media calling out the discourse surrounding Caitlin Clark.
Fans have found tweets from the center which clearly show that she left no stone unturned in slamming anything related to Clark. Be it how the Fever operated, or Clark’s Iowa etc. Some of those tweets are still there on her account.

HATING ON CAITLIN CLARK SINCE IOWA DAYS
YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER @AmberLCox pic.twitter.com/qUGBq6wKss
So the Fever sign Brianna Turner who barely played last year. She attacked the entire Iowa fanbase, as well as the incredible senior class of Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, and Gabbie Marshall for celebrating the team and fans that made women’s basketball a mainstream sport. pic.twitter.com/a760y9sFRU

We don’t want her, she hates CC fans!

Wasn't Brianna Turner calling Fever fans all sorts of names last year??? Why would you sign for us 😭😭😭😭 shit is unexplainable

At least Brianna Turner still has some of those tweets on her X page, unlike anther signing Sydney Colson’s agent who had to delete her account to hide the messages. Turner’s messages did not reek of ‘hate’, rather those words suggest she was merely shading her then future teammate.
The players have to be professional while on their jobs. But fans believe such signings are detrimental to the Indiana Fever’s championship hopes. They have expunged last season’s team with the view of fighting for titles. But for that, they need chemistry among their players.
