Ever since Caitlin Clark made her debut in the WNBA, her seniors have not made things easy for her. The players have played harsh defensive plays with intense physicality against the Indiana Fever’s guard. Recently, the Fever’s last game against the Chicago Sky has been under controversy due to Clark getting bullied by Chennedy Carter.
As the moment left many enraged including NBA stars, former player, Matt Barnes also decided to address the incident. However, as others were blaming Carter for her dirty play, Barnes called out Caitlin Clark‘s teammates for not defending their guard.

Barnes tried to set an example as he was also an enforcer himself. The former athlete always had his star players’ back including Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, and Blake Griffin. The 44-year-old called out the team’s lack of chemistry and bond. According to him, it also causes the team consecutive losses. Barnes told the team to do better to protect each other.
A technical foul was not called on Carter and the player also gave a disrespectful response after getting asked about the play. Hence, many were furious towards her teammates considering what Clark had done for her team and the league as a whole.
Austin Rivers told WNBA players to stop ‘hating’ Caitlin Clark
Many members of the NBA community have had Clark’s back including Draymond Green, LeBron James, Charles Barkley, and now Matt Barnes. Another former player, Austin Rivers has also joined the conversation to speak about the treatment Clark is receiving in the WNBA. Rivers took to his social media to tell the players to stop their jealousy towards Clark.
Rivers went off on the players for not giving Clark her respect for her impact on the league. The former athlete called out the players for their hate comments despite getting better treatment after playing in the league for many years.

Clark who has not talked about the physicality she faces, the star did call out Carter’s actions. The guard called the moment a ‘none basketball play’ which Rivers agreed upon in his videos. Despite not getting a technical, Carter is expected to get a fine for her actions.
