It appears the Chicago Bears indeed made the right decision by drafting USC standout Caleb Williams using their first overall pick. Betting their odds on the quarterback and strengthening the offensive line, the franchise made all the offseason moves. And now as the training camp began, they seemed to be enjoying the fruit of it. 

Williams is set to be the Bears’ starter from the opening week of the 2024 NFL season and because of that, he has all eyes on him during the training camp. But judging from his performance, Chicago appeared to be in the right hand and gained their long-sought-after quarterback.

During a drill on Thursday at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Williams charmed everyone by throwing darts at veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen. He scrambled to his left before firing the throw with both his legs up in the air.

Williams’ impressive throw didn’t go to waste as Allen caught it towards the sideline by tapping two feet inbounds and made the connection. This quarterback-receiver duo is definitely capable of causing havoc in the opposing defense, creating a threatening offensive pair. 

The clip of the impressive throw was shared by the Bears’ official X handle with a one-word reaction, “Beautiful,” accompanied by a teary-eyed emoji reflecting the current feeling in every Bear fanatic. 

Heading into the coming 2024 season, Chicago not only possesses a standout quarterback but a strong offensive line filled with weapons such as Allen, DJ Moore, and newly-drafted Rome Odunze as the top targets for Williams and D’Andre Swift for the rushing game.

As the clip of Williams throwing darts aimed at newly-signed Allen went viral on the internet, fans have gone crazy with their high expectation from the quarterback-receiver duo raised through the roof. Especially because of the former Heisman trophy winner, the Bears fans are seeing a generational talent, which they have been asking for ages.
