DJ Moore’s incredible overtime grab crushed the Green Bay Packers’ hopes on Saturday night. The seasoned wide receiver connected with quarterback Caleb Williams for a 46-yard touchdown, sealing a thrilling come-from-behind win.
The Packers decided to throw first in overtime, but their drive ended with a turnover on downs. Williams, with the help of D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai, entered into Packer territory before unleashing a deep pass to Moore in the red zone.
Moore caught the ball and then shook off his marker, Keisean Nixon, to score a 46-yard touchdown to seal the win for the Bears. According to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats, Moore only had 23.6% odds of scoring that touchdown.

Moore had a bone to pick with Nixon. Earlier in the game, cameras caught the veteran defensive back red-handed for getting in the way of Moore’s route.

ESPN Chicago’s Jeff Joniak asked Moore about his personal battle with Nixon. Moore revealed that Nixon’s antics didn’t anger him, but he did give the Packers defender a piece of his mind right after the hit.

The Packers arrived in Chicago without their star pass rusher Micah Parsons, as he tore his ACL during last week’s game. To make matters worse, Jordan Love‘s night ended in the second quarter due to a concussion. Malik Willis came in and handled the offense efficiently. Willis threw a touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs right before the halftime break.
Cairo Santos reduced the deficit with two field goals before Williams restored parity with a 6-yard touchdown pass to rookie wideout Jahdae Walker with thirty seconds left until the final whistle. The game entered overtime, and the connection between Williams and Moore proved pivotal in deciding the outcome.
DJ Moore mocked the Packers after scoring the game-winning touchdown
Moore did not have a good game when these two teams met two weeks earlier at Lambeau Field. He finished with just one catch and -4 yards. So, he had a point to prove.

The 28-year-old finished Saturday night’s fixture with 5 catches for 97 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown. Moore did not hold back against the Packers while speaking with a sideline reporter.
At the end of the day, it’s f*** the Packers always.

The taunting continued inside the locker room. Moore showed up wearing a cheese grater hat. For the uninitiated, Wisconsin is famous for its cheese, and Packers fans often wear a cheese hat and call it the ‘cheese head.’ It’s like the unofficial mascot of the organization.

Moore has accumulated 48 receptions on 78 targets for 664 yards and 6 touchdowns. He is unlikely to reach his 2024 tally of 98 catches and 966 yards, but he’s bound to be happier because of the Bears’ position in the league. The Bears are 11-4 and occupy the second seed.
However, the last two games won’t be easy. Next week, they take on the 10-4 San Francisco 49ers and close out the regular season by hosting the 8-6 Detroit Lions.
