Donald Trump couldn’t resist taking a swipe at Joe Biden while praising Travis Kelce as the greatest TE to ever exist ahead of Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl LIX is just two days away and looks like the most excited fan in the United States is also the most powerful, i.e. President Donald Trump. After taking oath less than a month ago, he has ignited the pre-game buzz with enormous praise for the play-makers of both the teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs but he couldn’t resist taking a swipe at his political rival and former US President, Joe Biden

It’s surely a time of festivities in America, well, for the football fans at least. But after President Trump weighed in on the excitement for the big game, he may influence even the non-football fans to keep their eyes hooked to the television or laptop.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated Super Bowl matchup, the Republican party leader took to his social media to share his thoughts and excitement, calling out star players from both teams.

In a special post praising the key players, President Trump made a bold declaration crowning Travis Kelce as the greatest tight end of all time (or in his words, “absolute best tight end in football ever”). However, this high praise was accompanied by a cheeky dig at Biden.

IT WILL BE A GREAT GAME!!! I’ll be doing the interview, before the game, at 3:00 P.M. There hasn’t been one in four years (Gee, I wonder why?)

wrote President Trump in an X tweet

He was referencing former President Biden’s repeated refusal to Super Bowl interview requests from Fox News in 2023 and CBS News in 2024– both of the Super Bowls were won by Kelce’s team, the Chiefs. But President Trump wouldn’t miss this, as he confirmed his interview, which will be with Bret Baier on Fox News and will air during the pre-game show.

Donald Trump’s Super Bowl attendance expected to spark controversy

Whether because of the interview or being a football fan, President Trump is all set to attend the Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, where the security now has been made even stronger due to the terror attack on New Year’s Day. This will mark the first time a sitting US President will attend the Super Bowl game.

Interestingly, due to the history of his remarks about the NFL during his time in politics, Trump’s presence at the biggest sports event is expected to spark controversy afterward. He has been an open critic of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and has questioned the patriotism of the players who kneel during the national anthem to protest racial injustice in the United States.

This will also be the first time in four years that the Super Bowl will not feature an “End Racism” message in the end zone, instead opting to choose for a “Choose Love” message. But the advertisement during the breaks will surely feature a special ad by Robert Kraft with a powerful anti-racism message featuring Tom Brady and Snoop Dogg
