The reigning Offensive Player of the Season Christian McCaffrey got married to his sweetheart, Olivia Culpo, in a beautiful ceremony last month. However, it appeared he forgot to include one name in the guest list and that name doesn’t appear too pleased by it. 

In the recent episode of the 4th & 1 podcast by Cam Newton, he bizarrely mentioned how he was not invited to his former teammate’s wedding, which was all over the news last month. He also highlighted that he found it exceptionally odd because many other former teammates of McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers were invited. 

Damn, CMac? I couldn’t get an invite? Is it because of Brock Purdy? Was Brock there? F**k that, man! You lucky I wasn’t there, CMac, ‘cause I would’ve crashed that mother***er. It looks like they had so much fun.

Newton said he wasn’t even sure that he would be able to attend the wedding, but he at least expected an invitation so he could send a gift to his former teammate. He also felt FOMO about the wedding from social media and news and got to know that the former Miss Universe changed her outfit three times at the function. 

I wanted to be there, bro! From the picture, it looked like they needed some color anyway!

Christian McCaffrey reveals the reason for Cam Newton’s absence at his wedding

As soon as Newton’s recent episode aired on the internet, it caught the attention of the San Francisco 49ers’ star running back and he revealed the real reason why Newton did not get the invitation. McCaffrey commented on the podcast clip where the host was sharing how he felt about not being invited.

He literally wrote a screenplay in the comment revealing how he felt Newton’s presence would have made his wedding more memorable while discussing his absence with Greg Olsen. It turned out to be a communication gap as McCaffrey had been waiting for a reply from Newton for four years. 

The running back also mentioned how he wonders why his former teammate Newton doesn’t like him as the two were such a hit duo at Carolina and the former quarterback also supports McCaffrey through his podcast. Judging from this public interaction, the two must have had a long conversation with each other, clearing the misunderstandings.
