Tyreek Hill may have to give up his throne of highest-paid wide receiver in the league, but he remains the first choice among his peers. That’s why, when it came to voting the NFL players for the Top 100 of this era, the star wide receiver ranked first and became the first in his position in history to achieve this feat. 

But that isn’t the only time Hill’s abilities have been applauded in the listicle. EA Sports ranked the Miami Dolphins star wideout in the 99 club for wide receivers in the Madden 25 ratings.

The recent episode of Cam Newton’s ‘4 and 1’ podcast dived into the deep discussion of those receivers’ ranking. While approving most of the rankings, the former quarterback particularly addressed Hill’s ranking and claimed the only reason why the Cheetah has a 99 rating in Madden is because of his speed.

No. The most dangerous receiver in the NFL? Yes. … Justin Jefferson is skillful. He could do everything. … The only reason Tyreek is the most dangerous receiver that this game pretty much, no, I can’t say that, won’t say that.

Hill earned the ranking after leading a phenomenal season individually, even though things didn’t work that well for the Dolphins. He secured 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns and if only his ankle injury late in the season hadn’t restricted him, Hill could have broken all prior records in receiving yards.

Cam Newton highlights Jaylen Waddle’s advantage with Tyreek Hill’s presence

While talking about how the Dolphins’ No. 1 receiver is the most dangerous player in the league, Newton emphasized that having him on the team is particularly advantageous for his fellow teammate Jaylen Waddle. Having said that, Newton believes Waddle should be grateful for Hill’s dominating nature. 

The person who should be so grateful for Tyreek Hill is Jaylen Waddle. You cannot cover a man like Tyreek Hill with one person, so therefore he’s going to take two people. It’s more or less saying we’re clouding the coverage towards him.

He further highlighted that with the opposing defense’s focus on Hill, Waddle had to deal with a single defender, giving him a one-on-one matchup, thus increasing the chances of him making impactful plays.
