The Baltimore Ravens have to pack up everything, get their minds some rest and come back to figure out how to take the next step towards a Super Bowl. But Mark Andrews may not have that luxury after he seemingly ended all their hard work this season early.
Mark Andrews is a model of consistency and excellence. He is known as having one of the surest pair of hands in the league. Yet, when it all came down to that one play, his hands could not keep the ball. After that drop, he cut a dejected figure on the sidelines and avoided meeting with reporters.
But naturally reporters and want to hear what the ‘culprit’ has to say about his mistake. Andrews did end up talking about it and was full of regret. But the criticism he has faced came to the attention of former league MVP Cam Newton.
During a discussion on 'First Take' about Mark Andrews ducking the media, Cam Newton referenced the Fox Sports workplace misconduct lawsuit.

Cam Newton was speaking about the lawsuits that Skip Bayless, and FOX Sports are facing. Joy Taylor is also named in the lawsuit and neither of them are being discussed on other networks. The former QB feels fans and media should not talk about Mark Andrews if they are quiet about the damning allegations against FOX.
Mark Andrews skipped both media sessions to be with himself
If an NFL team loses a playoff game, there are two media sessions where the head coach and the most important players of the hour are supposed to attend. One is immediately after the game, which John Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson attended.
During that session, Jackson tried to deflect the narrative surrounding his favorite tight end. Instead, he tried to blame himself and the entire team for their collective mistakes. Harbaugh tried the same, insisting on the good that Mark Andrews brings to the franchise.
There was another session where reporters were at the Baltimore Ravens facilities waiting to speak with players. However, the 29-year-old tight end intentionally avoided that too. Finally, he took to his IG handle to talk about what he has gathered from all this.
He wants to use this adversity to build towards next season. The Baltimore Ravens have the personnel to a Super Bowl. They just have to avoid these mistakes if they are to challenge the likes of Patrick Mahomes next season.
