With an undefeated record since past ten weeks into the 2024 season, the Kansas City Chiefs are heading for a thrilling match against the conference rivals, the Buffalo Bills sitting at 8-2. Despite not standing out individually like he has in previous seasons, quarterback Patrick Mahomes knows how to guide his team to victory and that’s what earned him the confidence of Cam Newton.
In a recent appearance on ESPN’s First Take, former Carolina Panthers star dived into his analysis of the Chiefs, highlighting what makes them the top team in the league. Newton argued that his faith in the Chiefs achieving the historic three-peat is based on their proven ability to make it work, even if situations go awry.
“I don’t think there’s another team in the NFL that performs better in got-to-have-it moments than the Kansas City Chiefs.”

Although Newton did not say in the exact words, he is certainly betting his horses on Mahomes’ undefeated Chiefs to outscore Josh Allen’s Bills in the thrilling Week 11 matchup. Statistically, the Bills have a better record against the Chiefs at 3-1 in the regular season, however, quarterback Allen is looking at the bigger picture of defeating Mahomes in the playoffs.
Patrick Mahomes warns teammates about playing against Josh Allen on Sunday
If there’s any time capable enough to stop the two-time Super Bowl defending champions from making history with an undefeated record in the regular season, it’s the Bills and the Chiefs’ superstar Mahomes knows it quite well. Keeping in mind Allen’s words, the three-time Super Bowl MVP warned his teammates to be prepared to play their “best football” against Buffalo.
While the Bills have an upper hand against the Chiefs in the regular season, the Chiefs are 3-0 against the Bills in playoffs. Despite their conference rivalry, Mahomes and Allen share a bond of mutual respect, refraining from any trash-talk and instead exchanging only words of praise for one another.
