With the collapse of another season, there have been numerous rumors concerning quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ future with the New York Jets team. While he has set the record straight by expressing his wish to continue further with the Jets, owner Woody Johnson appears to be skeptical about the quarterback’s abilities. Amid the turmoil, former NFL quarterback Cam Newton seems to have a solution.
In the desperation to improve circumstances, the Jets made many shocking decisions, including firing head coach Robert Saleh, followed by General Manager Joe Douglas. As a result, not only they are burdened to provide replacements for these two important positions, but they are also struggling to decide whether to go ahead with the veteran quarterback once again, or find a new face.
In the latest iteration of 4th and 1 Show, former NFL MVP Newton went into the discussion of the Jets and in hindsight, provided a solution that is in the best course of the team as well as Rodgers.
If they are going to draft a quarterback and keep Aaron Rodgers as the starter, allow him to develop the quarterback. And when it’s his time, everybody will know. And just maybe, with the competitor we know Aaron Rodgers to be, he’ll be like ‘Ah bulls***.’ Because it happened once already and Aaron Rodgers said ‘Ah bulls***, not today.‘

Cam thinks the Jets should keep Aaron and use their high pick to select a QB.

Taking the inspiration by the Green Bay Packers, when they drafted Jordan Love despite having the four-time NFL MVP as the starting quarterback. Newton believes this may also motivate Rodgers to reach his full potential on the field, regardless of the age barrier.
Cam Newton’s recommendation of quarterback draft picks for Jets
Now, as he advised to draft a quarterback, Newton also laid down certain names that can work in the best interest of the Jets while keeping the 40-year-old veteran. At present, the Jets are projected to have the seventth overall pick and if they indeed decide to tank the season, they may move up the ladder to pick prominent names in the Class of 2025.

If I was one of those damn quarterbacks coming up – Quinn Ewers, Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward – I wouldn’t be mad if I had to get drafted by the Jets. I ain’t got no pressure, I can just learn from one of the greatest.
Cam Newton advised
Although the chances of selecting Shedeur Sanders with the 7th overall pick are slim, given the Giants’ pressing demand for a quarterback using their projected to have a 2nd overall pick.
