Jaxson Dart has managed to give Giants fans some excitement after engineering a couple of wins against solid opponents. He and running back Cam Skattebo have been touted as the next young pair who will drive the franchise forward.
The pair were responsible for all 5 touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. That was by no means an easy feat, especially going up against a Super Bowl-winning defense.
The pair’s bromance was also praised, as their collective drive seems to have lit a fire inside the locker room, something that was allegedly amiss when veteran Russell Wilson was leading the line.
During that game, their brotherly love was evident when Jaxson Dart headed to the concussion tent. Initially, all eyes and criticisms were levelled towards head coach Brian Daboll for arguing with their team physician.
However, another video clip showed Cam Skattebo making his way inside the tent while his quarterback was being evaluated for a concussion. It so happens that both those instances are violations.
NFL fined the Giants $200,000, head coach Brian Daboll $100,00 and RB Cam Skattebo $15,000 for violating concussion protocol while Jaxson Dart was being evaluated for a concussion.

Daboll was eventually going to get reprimanded for his outburst and alleged interference. Subsequently, the Giants also received a fine as they apparently could not keep their personnel away.
Fans bring out the jokes after Cam Skattebo gets fined
Those two fines were acceptable, as both the New York Giants and Brian Daboll breached NFL rules whenever a player is in the medical tent. But to fine Cam Skattebo $15K for his actions seemed a bit unnecessary.

Fans feel he was just checking up on his teammate and not interfering or influencing the proceedings. They believe the running back is a master of concussions and knows how it is. Therefore, fans felt the fine was ridiculous. Check out examples of those reactions below.

I get the org and the coaches. But Skattebo should be able to check on his CTE bro without getting a fine

Cam Skattebo might have done what a concerned teammate would do. After all, the two rookies have a burgeoning friendship that sometimes tends to transcend the rules and regulations in place.
Fans felt the league could have let it pass, as it was more about camaraderie than any ill intent to flout the rules. However, it seems the NFL was trying to make an example out of him.

Fans seemed to be worried about Cam Skattebo’s finances after incurring this $15K fine. After all, that is almost half of his week’s paycheck. As a 4th round pick, all he will earn this season is a little more than $1.1 million.
But it seems that the fine has not impacted him at all. First, the 23-year-old spent good money getting courtside seats at Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks’ season opener.
Then, he spent another good deal of money on getting ice grills. He was seen in the videos rocking the diamond-crusted grills, posing and flexing for the camera.

It seems he does not care what the league has done to his finances. Rather, wants to live in the moment as one of the NFL’s most exciting running backs.
