The Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward has been linked to the Tennessee Titans for months, with speculation growing stronger after recent public comments. The Titans urgently need to take over from struggling Will Levis and are well-positioned to rebuild with Ward in the centre.
Ward is widely regarded as the top quarterback prospect in this year’s draft class. He threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and only seven interceptions in his final collegiate season. His 67.2% completion rate fills the void that the Titans had.
Tennessee’s intent has been visible throughout the pre-draft process. The team held a private workout with Ward and attended his Pro Day in March. Meanwhile, the Titans canceled a scheduled session with Shedeur Sanders in early April. Though trade possibilities were initially entertained, reports indicate Tennessee is now unwilling to part with the top pick easily.
Ward, during a “Fortnite” live stream, offered subtle hints that he’s expecting to land in Tennessee. When asked about his favorite running backs, he cited Titans backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears.
“I would say … Tony Pollard, [Tyjae] Spears,” Ward said.
He continued by naming Tennessee wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Treylon Burks among his preferred targets in the league. While these players are productive, they are not commonly ranked among the NFL’s elite. Ward’s responses are suggestive of someone who’s studied to be ready to join the team. And obviously, it have intensified assumptions that he is anticipating a partnership with the Titans’ offense soon.
Cam Ward really makes it obvious with further hints
The NFL Draft or the Annual Player Slection Metting is scheduled to take place in barely seven days in Green Bay, Wisconsin. As the days inch closer to 24th March, the tensions and speculations have reached all-time highs. However, this time around, it is almost as if the first overall is firmly known and fixed.
After all, Cam Ward keeps on giving more hints each day. If the wide out favourite list wasn’t enough, Ward also named his favorite NFL coaches as well. In the same stream, Ward noted that although he won’t be telling his favourite five, he shall reveal the ones he like.
“Well I’m not naming top five, I’m naming five head coaches I like,” Ward says. “Number one, Brian Callahan. Number two, [Kevin] Stefanski. Number three, Brian Daboll. Number four, Pete Carroll. Number five, Aaron Glenn,” Ward noted.

In a league filled with coaches with multiple head coaches with Super Bowl wins, Brian Callahan being numero uno in the ones Ward like is very forward. Brian Callahan, who debuted as a head coach, had just one season under his belt and the results of the season has put Ward in line to join the coach’s team.
Brian Callahan has experienced turning around a franchise with a rookie QB
Brian Callahan played a key role in the Cincinnati Bengals’ transformation after they drafted Joe Burrow first overall in 2020. As the offensive coordinator, Callahan was instrumental in developing an offense tailored to Burrow’s strengths. Under his guidance, the Bengals moved from a struggling franchise to a legitimate AFC contender.

The team reached Super Bowl LVI in the 2021 season, driven by Burrow’s rapid progression and a dynamic passing attack. Callahan’s approach emphasized timing, quick reads, and maximizing the playmakers around Burrow.
His work helped turn a rebuilding roster into a competitive unit within two seasons. His experience with Burrow’s early development is especially relevant as he now prepares to potentially mentor Cam Ward in Tennessee.
