“Camavinga’s energy level drops”- Real Madrid boss on where the young Frenchman needs to ‘learn’ on a tactical level
Carlo Ancelotti with Eduardo Camavinga
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, the four-time UEFA Champions League winner has pointed out at Los Blancos’ new young midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. In a word with the media, Ancelotti said, “When the scoreline of a game changes, Camavinga’s energy level drops.” He is suggesting there is scope for improvement in the Frenchman’s play.
This comment has been perceived as a strike towards the Frenchman’s loss to agility and kissing the grass attitude, whenever the team is trailing in the scoreboard. The Frenchman has to up his game in tough times, especially while playing for a team that is strongest in pressure situations.
The Frenchman was talented enough to be a part of the Champions League-winning team. It’s the talent which worries the coach and could be the reason he has pointed out the area for improvement. “He has to learn how to put himself in a good position when we need to control the game on a tactical level.”
Real Madrid’s next-generation trio in the midfield
The Los Blancos is one team which is gifted with a tremendous midfield and trios which has resulted in the making of the Spanish giants, both in the league and the Champions League. The midfield is the most important part area of the team. It can do wonders when it fires.
Right from the Galacticos era, the team had a trio of legends, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Raul, which was later taken over by Ozil, Khedira, and Xabi Alonso. More recently, by the most successful trio of Kroos, Modric, and Casemiro. Now, the responsibility has been transferred to the young talents — Tchouameni, Valverde, and Camavinga.
The very young trio is talented and performance-oriented in terms of playmaking and scoring important goals. The huge potential is something to look out for, with agility, composure under pressure, and a calm midfield which can achieve new heights in the Spanish team.
