The Chairman of the Saudi GEA, Turki Alalshikh, has been instrumental in the resurgence of professional boxing worldwide. Since his arrival, Alalshikh has taken on the role of matchmaker and has funded several exciting fight cards. Most recently, he oversaw the highly anticipated Riyadh Season fight card, The Last Crescendo, which Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol headlined.
The undercard of the Bivol vs. Beterbiev event showcased several exciting matchups, featuring boxing stars like Shakur Stevenson, Joseph Parker, and Vergil Ortiz. Among them was an intriguing bout between British-Pakistani boxer Hamzah Sheeraz and Dominican boxer Carlos Adames. Additionally, a mid-fight clip of the clash that included Turki Alalshikh interfering quickly went viral.
In a widely circulated clip, the Saudi delegate was seen speaking briefly with Hamzah Sheeraz during an intermission. Notably, as heard in the clip, Alalshikh informed Sheeraz about his current standing in the fight, stating that the British-Pakistani boxer was losing by 2 rounds. However, despite receiving this information, Sheeraz was unable to change the outcome of the match into a victory.

After a 12-round battle between Hamzah Sheeraz and Carlos Adames, the matchup ended in a draw. Sheeraz was considered a strong favorite to win, given his impressive perfect boxing record. However, the Dominican boxer was well-prepared and delivered an impressive performance. Interestingly, the viral antics of Turki Alalshikh majorly garnered significant attention following the fight.
