Fight fans react to Turki Alalshikh’s clip of revealing information from the scorecard to Hamzah Sheeraz
In professional boxing, scorecards are typically kept confidential from the competing boxers until the end of the fight. This practice aims to maintain an element of mystery around the fight’s outcome. Moreover, it is also to prevent boxers from making erratic moves during the match. However, contrary to this norm, Turki Alalshikh, who has worked to elevate the sport’s status, was caught violating this rule.

As the clip of Alalshikh revealing information from the scorecard to Hamzah Sheeraz went viral, it immediately sparked a buzz on the internet. As a result, many fight fans and netizens did not hesitate to share their thoughts on the matter. Check out some of the reactions below.

Not sure what to make of this near the end of the Adames-Sheeraz fight. Appears Turki instructing Sheeraz’s corner to let him know he was down 2 points? pic.twitter.com/Gy8utkF8J3

Turki apparently a big fan of open scoring https://t.co/V8CFwwFEuN

he was probably reading the unofficial score cards too which anybody in the corner could do if they got the broadcast to the event this is smart

I honestly think the judges scorecards should be live, not hidden until the end.

Boxing had always been a dirty sport. This fat Saudi makes no difference to an already corrupt sport
— Hugo Adame (@hugoadame01) February 23, 2025
I mean there’s a reason it was a draw ☠️ 🤣

Cheat. This guy thinks he can run boxing just because of his money.

Bad look for Turki, but him "Reading the scorecards to Hamzah"is a stretch. Losing by 2 rounds on which card? All 3? The unofficial scoring?
— Karim Abdul-Qawi (@QawiKarim) February 23, 2025
I think this is the biggest flaw when it comes to Turki. He needs to remain neutral when setting up all these fights.
— Clover (@CashflowEsco) February 23, 2025
Might make the fighters fight harder why not 😂

There were noticeably strong reactions regarding the ongoing debate. While the majority of fight fans criticized Alalshikh, a few did not find his actions objectionable. This particular segment of fans believed that open scoring in boxing matches could encourage fighters to engage more and put on a better show for everyone.
