Cameron Brink bumped into Tyler, The Creator at a restaurant in Los Angeles and invited him to one of her games. Post that the WNBA star had a hilarious exchange with the rapper on social media that left her scrambling. On the recent episode of ‘Straight to Cam’ with Sydel Curry, Brink shared the incident with their listeners.

Cameron Brink shared that she met rapper Tyler, The Creator in LA’s Jon & Vinny’s while he was with his friends. As the two were walking out, he sparked a conversation, promising to attend one of Brink’s games in a cop’s costume.

While Brink went along with it, she later reached out to the rapper on Instagram DMs after giving him a follow. When she invited him to a game he accepted the offer for when he could fit in his schedule. However, what cracked everybody was the photo that he sent along with it, which was a meme from the YouTube series ‘Unforgivable’.

Cameron Brink went on to praise Tyler when she confessed to liking his style and him in general. She shared how he wished healing on her ankle when the WNBA rookie was ruled out of her reason due to an ACL injury.

The LA Sparks star is now healed and doing complete splits. She also kept busy in her offseason with the podcast and multiple brand collaborations. Apart from that, she also joined the Unrivaled League as a part of the Lunar Owls BC as a wildcard. However, she limited her involvement to the sidelines, crediting it to her injury.

Per reports, Cameron Brink will be back in action on court in the 2025 WNBA season. She, along with her team is set to kick off the preseason game against the new Golden State Valkyries on May 7. The Sparks also recently announced tryouts for male practice players that are set to begin in April at El Camino College in LA.

Cameron Brink reflects on ACL Tear ending her rookie season

Cameron Brink was the Sparks’ second overall pick after her final season at the March Madness as a Stanford athlete. After a smooth start to the preseason game, she slipped on the court in the match against the Connecticut Sun.

Her injury turned out to bench her for the entire season, cutting it short. However, the 23-year-old didn’t let it overpower her, as she opened up about getting back up in a conversation with Women’s Health.

Cameron Brink admitted to the initial difficulties with watching people live “normal lives” while she couldn’t use her left leg. However, she was quickly able to walk again, regaining her confidence in herself. By the time she recovered, she put her efforts into building her muscles. During this time, the Unrivaled star is experimenting with her body and switching up workout routines that fit her.

Ultimately, Brink accepted the fact of the matter with her torn ankle. Finding the silver lining, she admitted to readjusting her life in the offseason. While she recovered, she looked forward to what all her efforts would transition into when she took the court again.
