Cameron Brink‘s podcast with Sydel Curry most often than not features stories flat-out and unfiltered. While the honesty always comes from them, the newest episode turned the tables for the WNBA star. Latest guest rapper NLE Choppa gave his candid recollection of his first meeting with the Los Angeles Sparks rookie.

Cameron Brink dialed the pop music fame NLE Choppa to be the most recent guest on her podcast, ‘Straight to Cam’. However, this wasn’t the pair’s first meeting, considering they bumped into each other at Stephen Curry‘s event for his whiskey brand, ‘Gentleman’s Cut‘. The meeting was close to an accidental acquaintance, leaving socially anxious Brink fidgety.

Knowing that, she asked NLE for his first impression of the basketballer. The rapper did not dilute any truth before sharing it was Brink’s elevated frame in comparison to his. In a train of thought, he also recollected seeing her on TV and watching her play.

Notably, Cameron Brink, 6’4, was slightly taller than NLE Choppa, 6’1. Besides that, the rapper expressed his appreciation for the WNBA and extended his everlasting support for the evolution of the league. Not just that, he quipped himself to be a keen admirer.

In the past, NLE Choppa has proved himself to be a spectator of the sport. He has previously collaborated with basketball stars Flau’jae Johnson and Angel Reese for a song inspired by their LSU NCAA Championship victory.

The Unrivaled star swooned at the rapper’s acknowledgement, admitting to being ecstatic at the compliment. Cameron Brink gained limelight even before she was drafted into the WNBA. Her polished skill set displayed while she was a Stanford athlete was enough for the audience to pay attention to her.

She also represented the US internationally while being a student. However, she was unable to fully transfer her talents to the WNBA due to an injury that cut her debut season short. With the 2025 season approaching, the fans are eager to finally watch her on the court.

Cameron Brink recalled ‘towering over’ NLE Choppa

Before NLE Choppa gave away his first impression of Sparks rookie Cameron Brink, she had her suspicions. Little more than a month ago, she shared with her followers the hilarious encounter she had with the rapper.

As previously mentioned, they bumped into each other after Stephen Curry’s Gentleman’s Cut party after Choppa’s publicist approached Brink asking about him. On the episode, she jogged Sydel Curry’s memory of him, enthusiastically rapping some of his songs as well.

Amid the discussion, Brink quipped she had thought NLE Choppa was “really tall”, later guilt confessing she was 6’8 with heels. Much to her dismay, he was way shorter than she, while adding a picture of the two standing beside each other. Nonetheless, the interaction was fun for Cameron who rapped her favourite lyrics of the Final Warning musician. In her defence, though, it was a consequence of the whiskey she had chugged.

I am towering over this man he was probably like, ‘What the f*ck.’

Cameron Brink recalled

Brink shared that the two later exchanged numbers, clarifying the platonicity of the gesture a second later. He also followed up after the meeting, leaving the WNBA star fangirling over his text. On Sydel Curry’s suggestion, she asked if he wanted to be on the show. Much to everybody’s surprise, he commented on their post on IG, accepting the invitation.
