If the NFL had its way, then Camille Kostek and Rob Gronkowski would never be together. Fortunately, the college cheerleader turned into a pin-up model who knew how to work around the special league rule that forbids relationships with players.

Rules are meant to be broken. The two officially started dating in 2015 but met a couple of years earlier when she was working for the New England Patriots. Gronkowski was making his way up the tight end ranks in Boston after the Patriots selected him in the 2010 NFL draft.

The two came across each other several times until Rob Gronkowski dared to ask her out. However, she was hesitant at first because an NFL rule prohibits cheerleaders from having relationships with players.

However, Camille Kostek ignored it, and the two began seeing each other shortly after the proposal. According to her, the move was worth the risk.

There is that rule where [you] cannot date the players. I broke that one, but I kept it a secret for a little while. It was worth it in the end.

Breaking the rules can sometimes be fun, but not always. Kostek recently revealed that it has not been smooth sailing for her.

Rule-breaking aside, both individuals remain busy with their respective ventures. The former Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE has turned to broadcasting after his retirement, and Kostek is one of the faces of the prestigious Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

Despite their busy work schedules, the pair manages to make their relationship work with a simple secret.

We read our calendars to each other. We don’t spend every waking moment together, so it’s exciting for us to get on the phone. It’s a common thing [weekly] to get on the phone together when we’re in different states and put out our calendar.
Camille Kostek said

She added that it’s exciting to align their schedules so that in between shooting for TV and the press, they can squeeze in some time to have dinner or execute a short getaway. It’s good to see a star player and a cheerleader can lead a normal relationship like any other couple.

Both had massive success in their respective fields, with Kostek’s swimwear gig and Gronkowski bagging multiple Super Bowls. And now the only thing that remains is who pops the question first.
