Cam’ron clarifies LiAngelo Ball ‘can’t rap’ take as ex Hornets star lands $13 million record deal
Rapper Cam'ron started a war of words with LiAngelo Ball after suggesting he should stop trying to play basketball.
Rapper Cam'ron and LiAngelo Ball
LiAngelo Ball could not build a career in the NBA like his brothers could. However, he managed to channel his skills into a different industry. Now he is the most trending star in the rap industry and has fellow rappers such as Cam’ron talking about his rapping skills.
When Ball’s first single ‘Tweaker’ came out, it set streaming charts on fire. The track was revered by many, and multiple athletes were vibing along with the track at games, inside locker rooms etc. Many felt it brought back old school rap vibes, which is why it caught on so fast.
However, it also brought into perspective his somewhat lackluster basketball career. Where his brothers have gone on to make millions, LiAngelo Ball could not do much. That was what rapper Cam’ron attested to when mocking the 26-year-old.
After that back-and-forth between them, many fans felt Cam’ron was taking shots at the middle Ball brother as he was jealous of his hit rap track. However, the rapper went on to the latest episode of It is What it is, to clear it out.

The rapper added that this is what LiAngelo Ball should have been doing all along. Instead of trying to make a career in basketball, he should have started rapping earlier. Cam’ron believes Ball would have been a major star by now.
Lonzo Ball chimes in on brother LiAngelo Ball’s success
Cam’ron suggesting LiAngelo Ball should have started sooner to become a big rap star might have come true. A few hours after this episode released, Shams Charania revealed that the middle Ball brother signed a $13 million deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group. Moments after this revelation, older brother Lonzo Ball chimed in.
The Chicago Bulls guard wrote this in reference to the yet to be released second single. Younger brother and All-Star LaMelo Ball had teased it just after the release of Tweaker and fans were hyped to hear it. But the eldest Ball brother made it clear that Def Jam and Universal Music Group stopped them from releasing it.
Now y’all see why we couldn’t drop… Higher ups said hold up lol Was outta my hands

With them handing LiAngelo Ball $8 million in guaranteed money, there was no way the second single would have dropped without their labels on it. In any way, now Cam’ron’s words are coming true as the former Charlotte Hornets guard is about to start a tour.
