Can Manchester City finally break the UEFA Champions League curse under Pep Guardiola?
Kevin De Bruyne is back in action

Manchester City are currently undoubtedly one of the best teams across Europe if not the best. Pep Guardiola and his men have made a huge comeback to absolutely tear apart the Premier League. But still the question that remains is that whether they will be able to show the same form in the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester City face Borussia Monchengladbach in the R16

The Champions League has always been a weak point for Manchester City under Pep Guardiola having fluffed their lines every time in crunch situations. Whether it be the 2017/18 season wherein they were Centurions from Liverpool or the last minute VAR controversy against Tottenham Hotspur in the following year.
It’s always been Manchester City’s year on paper but they’ve definitely not done justice to their talent. Last year everybody was waiting for a Bayern Munich vs Manchester City clash in the semi finals. But in a surprising turn of events, Lyon defeated them with Raheem Sterling missing a sitter.

So the question once again emerges- will it be Manchester City’s season this year finally? They face Borussia Monchengladbach and again are favourites given the form they are in. A 25 game unbeaten run which is impressive to say the least.

That’s why I’m more than pleased to win just 1-0. People talk and talk about the records but to do this you have to win this type of game many, many, many times.”
