The atmosphere at Cardi B‘s concert in San Francisco changed after the rapper dissed her former partner, Stefon Diggs. The WAP singer accused Diggs of playing with her heart.

During her Los Angeles’ Little Miss Drama tour, Cardi made it official that she is no longer together with the NFL wide receiver. In her uniquely vivid style, Cardi recounted Diggs’ efforts at chasing multiple partners while still being in a relationship with her.

The Grammy winner was in a vulnerable position when she met Diggs. She had just ended her union with rapper Offset, moving out with her kids to live in a separate house. The 33-year-old appeared happy whenever the paparazzi spotted her with the All-Pro wideout. Whether at an NFL game or partying on a yacht, the pair quickly established themselves as the second power couple of football.

However, Diggs not only met other women but also had kids with them. Cardi’s fans warned her about Diggs, but she refused to pay heed. Eventually, she decided to end things with Diggs after seeing one of his ex-girlfriends enjoying the Super Bowl from the comfort of the VIP section.

The heartbreak did not stop her from hitting the road once more. She is back to doing the one thing she loves above everything else: singing for her fans.

According to a report from People Magazine, Cardi B was aware of Diggs’ antics even before their breakup at the Super Bowl. She wanted Diggs to remain faithful and fully committed. When he failed to reciprocate, she made the difficult decision to end the relationship with the Patriots player.

Stefon Diggs’ future in New England hangs by a thread

Diggs provided a decent return to the Patriots during his first year with the Boston-based club. He racked up 1000+ yards (the seventh of his NFL career) and four touchdowns, but it was not enough to deliver the Super Bowl.

Diggs signed a three-year, $63.5 million contract with the Patriots last offseason. The Patriots could still make use of his skills. That said, his place on the Patriots is not guaranteed. His off-field issues, combined with a large cap hit, might force the Patriots to part ways with the veteran wide receiver.

Per Spotrac, Diggs is set to carry a $26.5 million cap hit in each of the next two seasons. Moreover, the Patriots are aiming to bring in a young receiver while quarterback Drake Maye is still on a rookie contract.

According to team sources, [Stefon] Diggs’ return to New England is no guarantee, though multiple high-ranking members of the organization believe his current contract is fair enough that he could continue to play on it. The problem, according to Patriots evaluators, is whether Diggs remains a No. 1 wide receiver.

Patriots insider Andrew Callahan wrote

Diggs, on the other hand, wants to continue playing for the six-time champions.

Unless they [the Patriots] opt out of the contract. I anticipate being here, so I hope so. Love my guys. I had a hell of a year playing with them. Built some real family-like bonds, so I hope so, I don’t control it though.

Diggs spent the 2024 season with the Texans. He appeared in 8 games for the Houston team before suffering a torn ACL that ended his season early.
